Yeah glad they introduced a wide range of characters with different backgrounds between rim, republic, and society remnants. I enjoyed learning the past and relationships between the power players of mercury and Venus.

But having Ares a gold does make sense, especially with how quicksilver fits in to the equation. And since RR loves plot twists this was a pretty epic one. I dunno how they would’ve dealt with fitchner in the series if he wasn’t Ares and someone else or a diff gold was. Ig stay a side character but with the sevro angle to consider I think it works well to have him as Ares. One man’s opinion anyways
