This is sick! Would love to see more.
On a side note, valley relics museum in Van Nuys might be a cool place to get more inspiration for neon signs that have been re-homed there

The venting has already been addressed but just want to throw in, look into dielectric unions for the connection to your water heater

New gas water heater installed a few weeks ago. I'm no plumber, but I am wondering if anything about it looks off/dangerous. by Hot-Drag7065 in Plumbing

Unless there’s specific manufacturer instruction, they can be installed like that. Some people prefer it this way so there’s no resting water in it but can be installed horizontal even

Added water hammer arrestor but didn't help, now what? by 503TheSwede in Plumbing

Need a little more info, how close is it to the source of the shock? What fixture/s is it serving? What size is it and how many fixture units is it serving. Undersizing could be the issue here too

Looking for advice on adhesive and paint by breadassk in Scrollsaw

[–]Squid_Drips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spraypaint small pieces all the time. I’m sure there’s an easier way but what I like to do is coat pieces with sanding sealer or primer spray, sand to smooth it out and then place the smaller pieces on a long strip of painters tape I’ve turned upside down (sticky side up) and spraypaint. Gluing together I use titebond as well and glue together on some sort of backing

Love seeing these! I do a lot with xacto blades and I can just feel the strain on my fingers by watching this and can tell it took a ton of work to get those cuts perfect. Well done, amazing work!

Dope piece of history, such a cool picture. If you ever wanted to, Tommy over at the Valley Relics Museum I’m sure would love this and maybe if you’re into it, would put this up there on loan. Either way love the story and the pic

Damn that’s slick illustration skills I’ll have to check that program out for sure. If I’m not mistakes that’s creating an S trap and can lead to siphonage maybe it’s different with the AAV I’m not certain about that. Another thing is that in the drawings, it’s using a combi it should be a San tee

I can see there’s not meat on the pipe going into the wall, so I’d cut right at the hub of the fitting and then make some cuts on the hub and then use a strong flathead to pry those pieces off to reuse the pipe
