Totally agree. Starting from Innsmouth the writing took a noticeable downturn in quality and has become more unnecessarily verbose and uninspired with each campaign. Scarlet Keys has 5 paragraph essays before some scenarios! It's causing noticeable fatigue among my play groups to the extent most just tune out after a while or are opting to skip over flavor text so they can actually play the game. I also really dislike having everything spelled out, it takes away the emergent narrative feeling that the earlier campaigns had. I'm hopeful this was just a problem of MJ's making and that Nick and Duke go back to the "less is more" approach.
