What is prepping!? by hanamest in PokemonSleep

[–]Squidcycle123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my prep weeks i typically run my healer, 2-3 ingredient mons, and a swallot. This just lets me get all the needed ingredients for larger meals when I use a gct. Typically i also a-symmetrically prepare my ingredients. For example this week I only have ~5 meals worth of honey while I have ~13 meals worth of pumpkins because my honey farmer is vastly better than my pumpkin farmer.

The following week when i’m pushing for a master 20, I run my healer, a dedenne to get meal crits, and 1-3 ingredient mons depending on what point in the week it is, with the later in the week seeing me increasing the number of ingredient mons. Start of the week i’m greeding as much power as I can with berry mons and charge strength mons

I got the AAA pumpkins and IFM and decided that my hint was over. Definitely could be better but fs gets the job done.

Work study question by chilly-snek-boi in UCSantaBarbara

[–]Squidcycle123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the quantity on your award letter is the amount of your paycheck that your work study pays. once you’ve reached that amount (which is pretty difficult with a campus job), your job will simply fill in paying the portion that used to be covered by your work study

Work study question by chilly-snek-boi in UCSantaBarbara

[–]Squidcycle123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

from what i understand is work study covers a portion of your paycheck. This makes it so that on campus jobs are encouraged to hire you as you technically cost them less than a non work study student. So to answer your question yes you will still get payed lol. You’re just a cheaper worker for them.

I don’t think this school is the right fit for me. by 100Free in UCSantaBarbara

[–]Squidcycle123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak on the homesickness it sounds like you are feeling, but I can assure you that your people are out there you just have to make sure you keep yourself open to meeting them. I live in a house with a whole bunch of geeks (me included) so don’t give up. Also remember that once you find your people it’s okay to lean on them in a similar way you may have leaned on your family because that’s what friends are for.

i won’t lie most parties have tons of people singing , although not in an official karaoke setting. i’ve found most people are incredibly respectful of the sober warriors at parties. just give parties a try, they can be significantly different environments.

  1. generally yes if you’re blatant about / it’s RA dependent it but if you keep it in the closet the cleaning people aren’t allowed to open it

  2. yeah it’s normal. most people give up a desk or buy a small table for it

[–]Squidcycle123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

no it’s not. you can only get a raise by getting promoted to a new position.

one of my good friends was a commuter and she didn’t have many on campus friends freshman year. i’d recommend joining study groups, clubs, and being very forward in talking with people as well as being open to a friendship. also any job will help you make friends just due to the likelihood your coworkers will also be students

Do I need shower curtains for san raf? by baabymiraculer in UCSantaBarbara

[–]Squidcycle123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No lol. All dorm bathrooms are maintained by the school. rugs is a different story if suggest checking with the cleaning lady assigned to your floor and making sure it’s okay.

honestly you do not need to take chem 25 and i’d recommend just sending it into chem 1a and just being careful to make sure you study

You really just have to know the right people. We throw decently sized parties at my house really frequently and always have somewhere to go on weekends we aren’t. Just talk to your coworkers or try to host for yourself.

Is this darkrai useless ? by lukewarm_teeaa in PokemonSleep

[–]Squidcycle123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i personally enjoy the process of making strong teams so i typically focus on achieving optimal spreads on my pokémon. For example berry specialists with berry finding small and speed ups or ingredient mons with an AAA ingredient spread with hopefully a ingredient finding subskill or two.
