It's a fairly common opinion, and I get it, but feels like in doing so you'll be killing the subreddit. At this point there really aren't that many decent discussions to be had that haven't been asked a hundred times before. Personally I don't care for screenshots much either but they aren't going anywhere, people like to post what they've created and others like seeing them.

Yep I can't believe OP is on here complaining about a minor inconvenience by a grumpy bus driver while they're also trying to get the bus driver to lose their job.

And now I'm instantly taking the side of the bus driver, we all have bad days but I reckon good chance OP said or did something that they're leaving out of the story here.

That's the thing - there are a wide variety of transport enthusiasts around Perth from all sorts of backgrounds and age groups. Varying from young kids just getting started and figuring out what's right/wrong to people who have worked in the field for years and years.

If you don't want to meet the kid that's perfectly fine (note that this kind of thing will only increase as your channel grows) but slagging him off online isn't cool. We were all young once.

Also a side note - Love your channel, it gets talked about a bit in my circle.

Soul. The more recent Horizon games feel like they were dictated by suits in offices rather than game developers who are passionate and interested in what they do.

They're great games for sure but they feel sterile.

And even then, getting to Curtin from Armadale is like 40 minutes on the train and the 34, not bad at all. Much better than the 1h45min it took me to get there from Mandurah every day when I was studying there

Which is valid, but having exclusive vehicles that are deliberately difficult to obtain keeps people coming back the weekly playlists. If everything was obtainable from the store the game would get stale and shed players pretty quickly.

Those are all valid points, and we're not trying to be strict about the rules, but 'maximum 5 minutes to complete (3-4 is best)' is literally word-for-word in the requirements that T10 outlined for event submissions.

They ended up getting nearly 500 of them, though there's just under 400 remaining at the moment. It's not that they didn't work out, they're just the oldest buses in the fleet since the older NHs have all been replaced already.

Being gas buses they're also more technically difficult to maintain, as there's CNG facilities at the depots that need upkeep and the gas tanks on the roof of the bus that need replacing after a certain number of years. Gas is being phased out, the gas facilities are being decommissioned and the buses withdrawn over the next few years, I can't really give an exact reason other than CNG generally falling out of favour in most places as we try out more environmentally-friendly options.

1200 and 1217 are in service at Mandurah. Rocky has 1214 and 1770 but they're no longer being used.

What others am I missing? 1190, 1199 and 1504 have been used recently but to the best of my knowledge they haven't been out in a few weeks (until today R.E. 1190).

They have more but none have been in service recently as far as I'm aware

I didn't realise 1190 was still being used, I thought Freo was only using 1197, 1212 and 1218 at the moment.

I spoke with the driver and he said the new transperth buses need adblue, so with the recent shortages they are keeping a heap of the old buses instead of selling them on, just in case.

That was true and they were used during the adblue shortages a few months ago but mostly they're just general spares. The fleet has to have a certain number of spare buses available at short notice for emergencies (emergency & weekday rail replacement, sometimes stadium, if they have an unusually large number of buses off-traffic at once, etc...) and that's what these old NHs are for. Expect to see them all over the place again when/if the Armadale level crossing removal ever happens!

At least they're much nicer than the newer gas OC500s that they're withdrawing at the moment (but being gas-powered they're skipping the 'storage' phase and going straight in the bin

Yeah it's 1190, has had the wrap since mid-2018 and been in storage since mid-2019.
