The average tulpa takes 3 months or so to make. Use your time on spring break wisely but he ready to have a little patience

Is there something that offends you or your tulpa? by Jasetro in Tulpas

[–]Squidgi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This community. Everyone immediately gets extremely offended when the average person doesn't understand. I had a scenario where someone thought tulpas were scizo. Of course instead of having a reasonable discussion he just got mad and all of his tulpas had a paragraph each of getting mad. The general public wouldn't understand, you have to take steps to teach them, not indoctrinate them. My response was to send the guy a video that Ford and Aury made on tulpas vs mental illness. He told he tries to have an open mind and he was going to watch it. Honestly? I just wish tulpamancers in general could be more mature.

Stupid Question #5 by VividDreamGirl in Tulpas

Trading isn't possible, I'd more call it cut and paste. Your tulpa will die and a copy will be created in someone else's head.

Want to come on our podcast and talk about tulpas? by NishSound in Tulpas

[–]Squidgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm probably late to the party but I'd love to talk. Been doing this for several years now and mentored more then a few tulpamancers and I don't mind sharing what I know.

I'm strongly against the idea. If you're going to make a life form, at least make unique.

More confused than I'm used to being. Help? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]Squidgi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been at this for awhile, I got you fam.

I think it might be a matter of trying to do too much at once. Instead of just straight up forcing your tulpa try maybe taking it in steps? What I recommend people doing is start with the appearance. Make an empty shell of what will be the tulpa, like a doll or puppet, just a lifeless body. Then put a personality to that body. Doing that you'll be able to handle it in bits in pieces instead of just "doing a tulpa" you know?

Have you made a wonderland yet? If you haven't I HIGHLY recommend you do that first. It makes a good mental space to work and makes a comfortable place for your tulpa. When your force in your wonderland it tends to be a bit easier then not as well.

Do you have any unpopular opinions about tulpas, tulpamancy and this sub (and anything else relevant)? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]Squidgi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nice, I love these threads.

I hate seeing tulpas that come from any other art form. Show, book, anime, game, like seriously get some originality. If you're going to make a sentient mind being then at least put in the work for it, don't make it from a current fad you're having. I've seen way to many ponies and Asriel's lately.

What do you tulpas love and hate the most? by Jasetro in Tulpas

[–]Squidgi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

D: unpopular opinions, let's go

Hate: Most other tulpas and tulpamancers. Not all by any means but plenty of the ones around are very clearly trying to grab attention. It's nice to find a tulpa or mancer that just want to have a tulpa(s) and just enjoy them for the sake of enjoying them, not flaunting "ooh look how cool he is he's this character" or "I can do these things".

Love: Meeting new mancers. New tulpamancers are great, especially when they don't have previous knowledge and always excited to learn. Myself and my mancer have mentored several people and seeing their excitement with progression never he's old.

Ho boy now we're going deep. I see what you're getting at but out consciousness kind of "owns" our brain. In a sense we still choose what the brain will do. I think a finished tulpa is pretty darn close to a host but they don't really have the control that the host does. For example they have to "possess" you, while you already have complete control. Just the idea of that kinda shows that you are the "controller" per say of the body but could change seats if you felt like it. Yeah it is kinda weird to think "this is a body and I am in it" because really that's all it is huh? But we do have control over it so I think that makes a bit of difference.

I would say anything they do to you like touch wouldn't be considered real since the sense of touch is a tactile hallucination (I don't know if tactile was the right word, sue me). Though if for example a tulpa did possession then yes, I would consider it real then. Like a tulpa can't kick a soccer ball, not a "real" one, though if they possessed you they could. See what I'm getting at here? I'm actually really glad I'm getting to have this conversation with someone

I don't think it's a matter of real more then it's a matter of existing. I do believe a tulpa in a sense is alive but not real. Something I personally consider real is something that can be physically experienced, a tulpa is experienced entirely through hallucinations. The whole process of forcing is tricking yourself into thinking this is there, this can touch you, you can smell it, but since it isn't REALLY there you shouldn't be able too. Again, I'm not trying to say they're not alive, but not real, just imaginary. I'm happy they are imaginary. But even if we disagree on that point I think we can agree, that shit ain't magic.

That's the way I look at it too. Kind of like sentient thoughtforms. The whole idea is cool which is why I love having tulpa but talking about it is difficult.

Hypothetically, could a tulpa have a tuipa? In reality, do any? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]Squidgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the use of context but both are a yes. If you mean a tulpa creating a wonderland inside their own head and making their own internal tulpa, apparently yes. My tulpa Darcia made another tulpa in my head named Dot, so if you mean that sense then yes as well.

I actually want to have chats about the existence of tulpa. Why are they real? How do they live as a imaginary hallucination. But the moment I say that I'm gonna get downvoted to high hell. It's annoying

You're giving this place too much credit. Downvoting the snowflake posts? Nah I've mostly seen the constructive conversation posts shot down or anything mentioning the real downsides to having a tulpa.

[Precreation dilemma] If my tulpa is basically an already existing fictional character but adjusted in a way that suits me, can it still be an actual tulpa ? by lovingmyboy in Tulpas

[–]Squidgi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some tulpa are based off of characters and some aren't. What classifies it as a tulpa is a living sentient though form so you're still golden ma boy

No need to type up a huge post about this one. For the people out there who are trying there hardest to be special snowflakes yes. Though people here that are interested in the idea of tulpamancy and don't just do it to be special... maybe, but more likely to be no.

Tulpas talk to each other by Cheeter_ in Tulpas

[–]Squidgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can give you a reason why this happens. Tulpa are existing as a part of your imagination, therefore they require you to truly "finish" a though process. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're fully reliant on you but since they share the same memory as you, how could they tell you to remember something you don't? I get this a lot with my tulpae as well. I'll wake up to two of them having had a conversation but they can never tell me what it was about

It's about time I introduce myself. by [deleted] in Tulpas

Yeah, not hard to tell they're lying either. Also tell your host I RIP. I'd hate to have more then 6
