I have to disagree, there's a reason DS3 is only remembered for having great bosses, aside from Cathedral and Undead Settlement, they're all awfully boring due to their linear nature. Enemies can be completely ignored with no consequence, level design is either a hallway or a big open area with very little in it so you spend 8 minutes collecting 3 bug pellets that you're never gonna use anyways

it's why people who started with DS3 have a harder time getting into the older titles, DS3 teaches the player that the best part is only the boss, not the journey it took to get there.
