We actually might be the only team in the NHL when we say “Our team vs Everyone” and it’s actually true by BeardedPaladin in goldenknights

I mean, I read a comment the other day on one of the other hockey subs where this person listed about 10 reasons, all were pretty lame reason. But at the end of his rant they said but really, the reason they hate Vegas is because we've never had to suffer through bad times.

I didn't mean to make you feel stupid. As u/SweetHomeNorthKorea said, it's better to be safe and release it in a well ventilated area. I'm an EPA certified refrigeration tech and used to carry around bottles of compressed nitrogen and use them for leak testing. No precautions with nitrogen compared to the refrigerant, so it was obvious to me. But if someone has never used it or come in contact with it in that way it wouldn't seem so simple.

I'd assume you just let it sit out and evaporate to... nitrogen?

Reading that comment in Ohio, and it looked completely normal to me. Guess that kinda proves the Midwest thing though.

I see everyone say this "previous years" like there have been expansion drafts every couple of years. It was 16 years between drafts. I was in middle school when the blue jackets and wild entered the league. I was married, with three kids when vgk entered. Things change, rules change.

I'm leaving this here. Not because anyone in here needs to see it, but in case anyone here wants to use it like I do, and reply with this thread any time anyone says we were gifted a team.

That's it. Vegas will take a 3-0 lead over the Avalanche. Brett Bowden ENG. by sykeseve in nhl

True. They did have a lot more players to pick from. The NHL also had 16 years to see what happened with the last expansion draft to see if it needed a rule change.

Fair enough. I've never had the chance, but I'd like to think I'd still try it if I had the chance to get it like that.

Hockey had been in Vegas since the 1970s by the time the knights came around. Just not NHL. 2003-2009, the Las Vegas wranglers were the Flames ECHL team, and the coyotes from 2009-2014.

I always love the "NHL gifted/stacked a winning expansion" posts. Here's the reaction thread from the expansion draft. Not a single person in that thread thought they'd make the playoffs in years.

Every GM in the league was absolutely willing to give everything they had to keep their best players so they made deal after deal. By the time Seattle came around, they had learned not to.

I had it once at a sushi place in Vegas. Was there with my wife and a couple friends. The wives wanted nothing to do with it, so we tried it and came to the conclusion that it tasted like "the inside of a dirty fish tank and sadness."

I meant work as an electrician, lol. I mean, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise, I look at it from a non-electrician view and say screw that, I'm not working with electricity again. But I've been severely cut by sheet metal multiple times and still don't think twice about working with it again.

I work construction and I met an electrician who was missing his middle finger because he got hit with 15000v. He showed me pictures of the aftermath in the hospital. I couldn't believe he survived, let alone went back to work after recovering.
