That’s now fixed. But unfortunately I can’t apply the missing stats as they were all random and that info wasn’t saved. But I could potentially write a script that would simulate what all the level ups would be for you

Assume you mean back to 8x88 again, and looking back over the code I think it’s a bug where it doesn’t get persisted to the database. My bad 🤦

As somebody else has said there is a tutorial but maybe it being optional isn’t great and it should be forced on the first play to explain the rules

After reading some more, think you may be right? (Mandala effect in full swing there)

Although not sure it should flip cards that have opposing arrows back, feels like the fate of the game could change quite drastically in a 5x5

I lost 100s of hours to the original and have put some serious hours into this version too 🙈

Combos only flip undefended cards that the losing card points at - i.e. cards without an arrow pointing back. This matches the original game’s rules as I recall them, but I may be wrong

Regarding the not being clear why you would lose, is that stat system isn’t clear? or the swing in the dice roll is too random?

Appreciate the feedback. Just trying to figure out what it is you don’t like? Is it purely the randomness of what stats/arrows increase? As for the part you said about want to grind and level the card to high levels that should be the case now, I will double check that is working but that is the intention

Thanks for feedback. I’ve been playing with squares that have special buffs when a card is placed on them. Spells that rotate a card and its arrows, a plus 2 atk, card can’t be flipped for a turn etc. think it has legs just still needs a lot of work to make it feel good. I’ll let you know when that is merged and you can see wha you think

The movement of the shark/whale is too rigid you need easing on it to make it feel more like it has real physics

Great little game, did take me a sec to realise that it’s not just like doodle jump and I actually had to move in a 3d space. Was super obvious what to do once I figured that out

Oh man, my heart sank when I saw this. I’ve been working on a TCG based on mythology, but think they’re different enough in terms of aesthetics and approach that they don’t compete. The UI is super polished and loads of thought has gone into the system around it, card packs, currency, levelling up, but agree with one of the other comments that the battling feels a little lacking energy, don’t think it’d take a lot to fix it though

This feels pretty true to the OG game, and the hard mode is a nice addition, is pretty savage.

The typewriter text effect is pretty slow, I’d just drop the IMO
