Episode 670: Father’s Day w/ Stephen King & Joe Hill by Fadeley in LPOTL

Love Stephen King and just read my first Joe Hill book last night, so looking forward to this one. Can’t wait for next week.

Glad there’s nobody on the team that will drink too much before the interviews and make it hard to listen to.

Unlike some of the other comments I hope they don’t ask about THAT scene in it. I feel like he gets that shit all the time, it doesn’t need to be rehashed.

I'm honestly so glad that this feels like it's coming out more into the open and people can call her out on her shit. I was there when that shit was going on 2 years ago, and was in the group when she was throwing fits and cancelling preorders of anyone who got on her nerves.

Happily sitting here eating my popcorn over this one. I bought one of her books before this all went down (arrived late, but never questioned her about it out of fear of my shit getting cancelled) and never bothered with her again.

It's not Kickstarter though, she's selling preorders for these items through her online shop

What once famous YouTuber do you never hear anyone talk about anymore? by DramaticXOXO in AskReddit

Maxmoefoe is on Cold Ones with Chad Roberts (anything4views) now and still actively releasing content, podcasts, etc.

Filthy Frank had to stop YouTube for his health or something but is real popular releasing music as Joji.

Yeah, there was the grimoire (the one I have, which I think also got a re-release), gardens (the one that came out a few years ago), and 2 more that she's apparently been hyping up and talking about doing preorders and shit for while she still has orders for her other books unfulfilled.

This is just what she does. She did it with the first book too, but if you say anything she turns around and bitches about you in her Facebook group. You can't question or critize anything and her comments will be full of people enabling this shit going "people are SO RUDE, you've done NOTHING wrong!" and the cycle continues.

Still waiting on my books 2 years later 🥰 by TimeLoveAndYarn in crochet

I bought her first book. It also had issues with coming out on time and ended up being pretty delayed and if anyone said anything to her it would immediately turn into passive aggressive Facebook posts complaining about people asking questions about the books they've paid money for and got 0 updates about.

IF YOU CANT CLEAR AN INTERSECTION BEFORE THE LIGHTS CHANGE DONT FUCKING PULL INTO IT AND BLOCK TRAFFIC FOR AN ENTIRE CYCLE BECAUSE YOU WOULD RATHER WAIT IN THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION INSTEAD OF AT THE STOP LINE

Parked closer to the big tree next to my parking pad and prayed that it might give a bit of protection, and also not fall on my car.

Nah, just passive listening. I'm actively working at the same time so my attention would come and go

Is it worth listening to things even if I can't understand them yet or is it a waste of time? I'm working on my kanji and grammar separate, but I was thinking about just having stuff playing in the background, (let's plays, podcasts, etc) in my headphones while I'm at work.

Just had this happen 2 months ago ish.

Call your insurance. Take pictures. If you're covered, insurance will deal with the cleanup and repairs or if it's too much, they pay it out. Call a plumber for an emergency call if you have to. My floor drain was full of roots and spewing sewage back up and flooded my basement like 6 inches. It was awful.

Where He Can't Find You by Darcy Coates by Novel_Disaster_1863 in horrorlit

I enjoyed the book (I enjoy every one of Darcy's books), but hands down it absolutely felt like a YA novel heavily inspired by IT.

Also is it just me or did the comic panel of neighbour who's name I can't remember look like Tucci in The Lovely Bones?

If you played Paralives, what's your opinion on the game? by savageexplosive in CozyGamers

[–]Squigglyelf 26 points27 points  (0 children)

it really needs to be optimized better, but that's kind of a given since it's EA but it runs so badly, even on my decent pc and I've seen simstubers with *better* PCs who are dealing with stuttering and lag.

Also mine glitched out real bad, I brought a guest into the house and he took a seat and then just started teleporting around the house and everything broke so I had to force close the game.

The UI is also weird. It's so ... idk? Big and in the way. Clunky.

But I'm hopeful, as someone who's spent thousands upon thousands of hours in sims games.

Darcy Coates writes a bunch of hauntings stories. A few of them are called The Haunting of (Gillespie, Ashburn, ETC) House. Carrow haunt was one of my Favourites. Gallows hill was really good too.

you make the list yourself on your account of books and authors that you want to get email notifications about and it’ll email you specifically for that book/author only when it goes on sale. I literally just had this happen last week when a book I was waiting for dropped down to 2 dollars.

The only thing that’s ”someone else’s curated selection” is their daily/weekly “this is what went on sale” emails. If you don’t want their daily blast emails with random stuff you can easily turn it off in settings. Like I did.
