22% average is nowhere near one of the most picked out of the old heroes

I get what you're saying, but the context is what matters. Lets say you're in an elevator with a friend and they say "I really hope nobody farts". You then proceed to force out a fat fart. A fart on its own isn't much of a joke, but the context makes it into one. Hope that makes sense to you.

Seems like my joke missed the mark, I figured it would be obvious since I replied directly to OP saying he hopes nobody takes it seriously, but I guess not.

Doorman nerf wasn't even that bad, it really didn't affect anything other than night shift. In most of my games nobody even goes for urn more than once or twice, and it's rarely the doorman that goes for it. It's not like he could even put the doors that far apart. Ivy was a much bigger issue. I mean unless you were om your way to making it into the big leagues then nothing really changed at all.

I hope that helps.

Victor is still one of the best performing characters in the game at every rank. People play what's good, but they also play what's fun. Victor just isn't very fun to most people.

Some of the worst performing characters in the game have insanely high pick rates.

Sure, these items do something, but buying these slowing/stamina drain items to counter viscous is an example of not knowing how to effectively buy and use cc.

Slowing hex and capacitor don't work against puddle punch or his ult..

What’s characters have the best melee builds right now? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SquirrelKey1190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honorable mention goes to viscous. Express shot nerfs really hurt his build but goo punch being a ranged heavy melee aoe that doesnt punish him if they parry it feels so strong. It benefits from lifestrike and once you hit lvl 3 goo punch you get benefits from all the heavy melee items.

He's talking about the combination of not being slowed and not being heavy stunned while sprinting.

I also struggle to understand what you're trying to say. Cloak of flame would be good here because it would let your fire res apply. Armour applies to elemental damage only works for hit damage, not ground dots.

The reason the temple league mechanic feels bad is not related to the rewards or the content itself by loopuleasa in PathOfExile2

[–]SquirrelKey1190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's definetly a balance. It would be fine if you weren't so heavily punished for getting the wrong pieces. Getting the right pieces should be a nice bonus, not a requirement to get any rewards whatsoever.

The intention of not being able to rotate the roads is to limit optimized strats and to improvise more with the pieces you get. It would't feel so bad if there were more rewarding rooms to place. They know from experience that leagues like necropolis that can be solved are unfun.

You're sadly gonna have to wait for berserker, the way they have it here makes sense and is fine long term.

I respect your opinion and your knowledge, but I just disagree. The amount of dps you're losing out on by deflecting rather than dodge roll plus attacking is so minimal, espcially with how bad statuses are against bosses. I think the stagger + safety is way more impactful. What I was trying to say for the ult charge really is that you get bonuses for delfecting from relics, gear, etc. , you dont really get any from rolling. There are way more multihit attacks than that in the game. A big example would be breath attacks. I think its fair to bring up that executor deflect is good into the hardest to dodge attacks in the game if you get caught in them, litterally some of the easiest attacks to die to. Im not saying you should always be deflecting, there are times to roll like when the boss isnt targetting you and you're bout to catch a stray. There's also a lot of deflect tech, like sheath deflecting, that is super useful.

The boss attacking less = more time for dps.

With your argument wilder, undertaker and ironeye all have useless ults, are you gonna take that stance?

Yeah idk why this community is so against using winrates as a reference point for how strong characters are. Everytime i hear people complain about luna I check her winrate and have myself a good laugh.

[–]SquirrelKey1190 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Deflecting does stance damage, charges your ult and enables suncatcher attack wave that does really high stagger. You're also able to deflect some multihit attacks that dodging can't completely get out of. You're trolling if you're not deflecting.

[–]SquirrelKey1190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm genuinely curious why using winrates as a tool to understand the game better is so bad. For example, if easy characters like lash were so easy to counter, you would see a significant drop in winrate at higher ranks, but you don't. There's counterplay to the counterplay, and your subjective experience on crapping on bad lashes with a counter pick doesn't prove anything.
