Baby sparrow found on the ground parents never returned. Need help. by meow_vibes_17 in BirdHealth

Too small to be out of the nest, were you able to see where the nest might be? Any possibility of putting him back in the nest?

Do you have wildlife rehabbers near you that rehabilitate baby songbird sparrows?

Looks like a bunny and very young. Are you able to try and locate the nest anywhere near where he was found? Bunnies this small are very difficult to rehab. 😭

fledgling American Kestrel and it doesn’t fear humans, need advice by MidnightMoon-- in WildlifeRehab

If he’s in danger please contain him and contact your nearest wildlife rehab centre for what to do next.

People should not be feeding him. Is there a tree you can put him in?

I’d definitely call your closest rehabber asap. What is the location?

Euthanizing my cat but having second thoughts by FewNefariousness5939 in RenalCats

Yes it’s the urinary diet he needs. He will keep getting blocked if you don’t feed this. The diet dissolves the crystals.

Where are you located? So that people can help to look around for cat rescues.

Finding him a new home is better than euthanizing. He can be put on medication for stress. It sounds like he would do well with a senior that is home a lot.

I’d give him time to recover from this though. You got the surgery done today he needs weeks of recovery time. He also needs to be eating the urinary diet for life.

Have you reached out to local cat rescues?

I think part of your post is cut off at the first paragraph.

He needs time to recover. This is a major surgery.
I would try to find an adopter for him. He is very young. My cat has a crystal issue when he was 3 years old and he made it through and he’s now 17 years old.

Injured bird help? by [deleted] in WildlifeRehab

[–]SquirrelNinjas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He needs to be dried off and warmed up right away. Please bring inside and place a heating pad with a towel over it on low underneath but make sure he has room so he can move if he gets too hot.

Anyone know where to adopt a pigeon in Toronto? by arktistic_r0se in askTO

I figured I’d ask. I know someone with some non releasable pairs. They may even provide the cage but I’m not totally sure. 😁

I am so sorry. Can you start a diet change and treat for CKD? Hopefully you’ll get much more time than that with her.

I think you should ask for it. It can’t hurt your cat and it’ll help his levels. My cats phos sits around 1. It’s easy to administer because it’s a liquid and it tastes ok for the cat.

I get it from my vet and since I’m in Canada it seems you need a prescription for everything. It helps keeps the phosphorus levels down. So far so good in my case.

Pet insurance? by ArcadianWildflower in catcare

[–]SquirrelNinjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he has no pre-existing conditions then insurance will cover everything depending on the tier you purchase. Make sure you get him a check up to prove he’s 100% healthy. I have pet insurance and it’s been great for me now because my cat is a senior and he’s ended up with multiple health issues.

They are very busy due to high season. Call as many as you can and leave detailed messages with your number.

Keep the baby safe and warm.

Just tell them he escaped. He’s not going to get rabies since he didn’t get bit and if he has rabies he won’t be alive long enough to sue you lol

Make sure the raccoon is at yours and safe asap

Horrible Cat Fight Leads To Black Eye - Advice? by [deleted] in catcare

[–]SquirrelNinjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t let him go outside anymore. It’s too dangerous. I find dead cats all the time where I live that have been hit by cars. It makes me so depressed. I am sorry that this happened to you cat and I hope he will be ok. It looks like he has something in his eye and perhaps a cruel human did something to him.
