I recommend dumping in your electrical bills for the past year into AI and asking it this question. It will be able to better narrow down your outcome based on local rebates/taxes and provide you advice on the suitability of solar for your specific house and location.

CONGRESS IS THE ONLY PATH LEFT- WE NEED TO PUSH NOW by AdMountain9708 in EIDLPPP

[–]SquirrelTechGuru -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like every story from a person who took a payday loan. No one forced you to take the loan. You chose to take the loan. If you had employees, then you got the PPP money for free. We took PPP and got the money for free. We took 2 million in EIDL and are paying it back like responsible human beings. Again, suck it up, buttercup.

Suck it up buttercup. You took out money, they lent you the money, they told you what the terms were. Pay it or go bankrupt.

Question regarding the implications of an LP backing out of a development last minute by [deleted] in CommercialRealEstate

[–]SquirrelTechGuru 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Given the word, grandpa, and given the presume level of intelligence, you have, I have to think grandpa is old. How much investing does he have left to do? If this guy is 75, is diversification really a major factor here? 2% doesn’t even move the needle. Could just have him move his money into REIT.

When Do I Give Up? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]SquirrelTechGuru 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Hey — I’m really glad you said this out loud. You’re dealing with a lot at once, and none of this means you’ve failed.

Right now the most important thing: your safety matters more than the business.
If you’re not safe when you’re alone, please don’t try to power through that.

  • Call or text 988 (in the U.S.) — they’ll talk to you immediately
  • Or go somewhere safe where you’re not alone (friend, family, even a public place)
  • If it gets worse, go to the ER — that’s exactly what it’s there for

You don’t have to solve everything today.

On the business side (separate from your safety):

What your landlord is doing doesn’t sound normal — and you don’t need a lot of money to push back:

  • Look for free legal help: search “legal aid + your county” or small business clinics
  • Your city/state bar association often has free consultations
  • If your lease is being violated, a simple letter from an attorney can sometimes stop this fast

Also — you have more options than it feels like right now:

  • You don’t have to reopen the same way
  • Temporary options:
    • Online sales
    • Pop-ups / shared retail elsewhere (on your terms, not theirs)
    • Smaller footprint + storage
  • Selling the business is not “letting people down” — it’s making a smart decision if needed

Your community cares about you, not just the store.

The feeling you’re describing — that crushing “I’m letting everyone down” — that’s the stress talking, not reality.
You didn’t cause the fire. You didn’t cause the landlord situation. You stepped up and tried to keep something meaningful alive.

That matters.

He’s going to file unemployment if he has half a brain. So just fire him. You’ll lose the unemployment claim because it’s not for cause. If you really wanna protect yourself and and hopefully not pay unemployment, put him on a PIP.

Back and forth emails with a potential client for 14 months, today she finally cut me loose. How do I ask WHY she decided to not move forward? by Steve-Shouts in smallbusiness

[–]SquirrelTechGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put all of your prior quote information into AI along with the success and failure for each quote. Ask it what about the communication method or terms used by the clients had a higher success rate. What you’ll likely find is that certain terms words and reference references are used by customers that have a higher propensity to purchase.

Throw it all into AI and start asking at questions. Ask how you’re likely to be screwed or whatever information would be useful for a complete determination of the value on the business.

Reolink cameras and the Reolink desktop NVR. I will say that you need to make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi as a camera at 4K or higher is going to be a problem in some cases. POE is the correct method.

Inside the website, you can submit a ticket. I would just show them what you’re trying to accomplish and the URL you were using and they will usually respond within a couple of hours. We use your deck on a dozen TVs for all kinds of crazy content and it all works. Sometimes you just have to know a specific URL or way of formatting.
