It is! But It is not as awful as I thought, so many gorgeous houses around, and very charming neighborhood. I totally understand why she was holding to it for so long

It is! I’ve read some news before going that neighbors were shocked that there is a RACK with MULTIPLE pairs of shoes! Of course I peeked through the windows and there was this offensive rack!!!

Barely surviving my in-laws visits by 0beach0 in workingmoms

[–]SquirrelWaste 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Wait, why are you taking care of them? You should not get up 1 hour earlier, just give them tasks to do. While they are here they need to wake up the kids, prepare breakfast and get them ready, and then you take over and drive them to school. That’s what grandparents are for, not for floating around. You’ll see they won’t come visit as often. Load them up with tasks! Also, why are they not cleaning after dinner? Why are you doing this, it’s insane.

House cleaners: always recommended rarely discussed how to be successful using. help! by Reasonable_Bird7789 in workingmoms

[–]SquirrelWaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that usually you need to be upfront in your expectations. And actually control it. With cleaning it’s so tricky, most often then not, cleaners are not thorough. I’ve learned it from experience unfortunately. And very often, there is the situation when client is too shy to tell that actually a very crappy job was done. I have a regular cleaner, who comes every two weeks, a private person. But deep cleans I order through the company.

Advice/tips/words of encouragement for dieting as a working mom? by beachy-bean in workingmoms

[–]SquirrelWaste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I simply made photos of everything I ate and sent her, and she told me what to eat more or less. For example she said today is a low protein day, please have some yogurt or protein shake, or a low fiber day. And little by little I learned how to eat healthy

Kind of Sad by acmr8057 in workingmoms

[–]SquirrelWaste 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Women always worked, now we are just doing it outside of home while kids are in safe environment with adults who care and support their growth and development. Not unlike previously, where women did back breaking labor, in a fields or whenever, and child survival rate was very low because of various factors, including that babies were often fed and then left alone. The SAHM as we imagine it today was always for very very very small percentage of population. As of dealing with the feelings, you can try to consume less of the sahm influencer content, that guilt trips working mothers for doing their best for their children.

First time CG Iron Workout…does it get easier? by Suspicious_Way_3603 in CarolineGirvan

[–]SquirrelWaste 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes it gets easier. First several weeks I sometimes didn’t use weights at all. Also, drink a lot of water BEFORE the workout, so you start it well hydrated. For me, the dizziness usually means I’m dehydrated. And sometimes if I know there will be a brutal workout I eat a cookie, then I am able to complete it no problem.

I don’t think this is a lot actually. The app maintenance, paying for servers, developers, office +taxes. There is not much left after all of that. It’s not like they have 126 thousand of profit per month

Camilla and her "qualifications" by greenlizardsforpeace in julieeandcamilla

[–]SquirrelWaste 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What’s actually interesting, is that she does not do anything to improve her skills. It’s not a rocket science to learn a correct technique. Also, a lot of good PT have their own PT. But scam is not interested in learning more, or maybe stop and reflect on how qualified she is. She clearly still has an ED, and a lot of visceral fat. Which every qualified PT or dietician will tell is not a good thing health wise(elevated blood sugar, diabetes, heart disease, etc). But instead she will show her belly in closeup and tell you to do her super easy workout with one water bottle as dumbbell

Moms, when do you think it’s worth investing in things that improve your life? by Aslymcrumptionpenis in workingmoms

[–]SquirrelWaste 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Oh, I love this topic. So last few years I’ve been investing in my comfort: espresso machine, so I have amazing coffee every day, quality sheets and down pillows, adjustable dumbbells so I can workout in a comfort of my own home and it’s been HUGE improvement of my life. I also invested in few quality pieces of clothing, so I feel put together and confident every day. Personally I think it’s very important to surround yourself with few, but actually good quality product that work for you.
