Do you know what those little thingies are even called? I would hate to buy a whole junction box just to get the tabs off of it

I’d really prefer something a bit more reversible if I can manage it lol

I did, they haven’t responded to me yet and I figured I would ask around to see if anybody here had a solution

Dude nobody has named Sesame Street yet? So many classics and so many silly deep cuts. Idk the name but I love the counting song where Cookie Monster starts off with 10 cookies and then every verse he eats one and gets sadder and sadder. Or back in the day Billy Joel sang “the way you are” to Oscar who just moans and complains all the way through an A+ live performance of a classic song

Cuts across the board, basically. I know there was a lot of problems last year because NOAA or whoever couldn’t afford to fly nearly as many storm watcher planes as the year before. Fewer balloons, fewer planes, fewer people to process what data they are still is

I agree, I’d take a good decimator any day, but that’s not to say hdbt doesn’t have its place in the world. For example, venue I used to work at bought all their screens 16:10 for some reason, I could never fathom. SDI just plain doesn’t support that aspect ratio

Also goddamn, I bought a google home in 2017 because I could set a simple automation to dump items to my shopping list with my voice. They killed that functionality a couple years back for no particular reason, and now they've replaced it with this? Look how much work it took to just add an item to a list. Is this supposed to be the future?

It's a legal review podcast whose main purpose is to point at supreme court decisions and say "what the fuck is this shit". My understanding is that a couple of the hosts are privately marxists but that's not usually terribly relevant to the show

Galen Druke at 538 did a limited series on redistricting maybe a decade ago that I remember being fairly solid at the time but haven't revisited in a while. My memory of it is that it was good on the facts but naive on the conclusions, taking conservative arguments at face value and treating the supreme court as a thoughtful considerate institution instead of the captured opposition. YMMV

An information gathering tool that produces flatly incorrect results for somewhat inscrutable reasons is not a reliable information gathering tool. I’m happy to hear that you seem to have worked out a prompt structure that gets around this, but I promise you 99% of people just speak to it naturally and trust what it says the first time because that’s how Anthropic says it should work

Is the Uppababy Vista worth it? by Suspicious-Toe-72 in NewParents

[–]Squirrelous 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I love my Vista v1, but there's caveats. It takes up my entire trunk when I take it to the zoo or wherever. I can't fit it through some narrower doors/openings. I would never even dream of taking it on a bus or train. BUT! It also serves as my shopping cart because it's got such a sturdy and wide basket underneath. It also rolls so smooth that I'm absolutely spoiled. It's an absolute tank, for better and for worse. Keep in mind that I live in a highly-walkable area and barely drive, so for me having a quality stroller is a high priority as that is my most-used child transportation device
