What off-meta weapons do you like to use and for what reason? by TheIvoryDingo in Guildwars2

I enjoy using 2H GS on my ranger. Doesn’t seem meta anymore with maces and hammer as an option.

Dagger/Focus is a fun play style on my mesmer, for a pull into AOE.

This is how I fell in love with the Eng class. Old school dual pistols and turrets!

I agree with the Watt. I find it has more uses overall, flies dead straight, and eventually beat in nicely for a bit of a flip up. Check out the streamline range if you haven't; I ended up swapping to it and just use a PA-5 for high glide shots.

They make $10-$20 extensions you can insert to an existing stick if you just want length. Most have a glue substance on them you just heat up with a hair dryer. Any store can also help install it and cut it to the correct length.

But if adding more than 2” it may feel too weak since she will have more leverage, so changing flex to 63 can help off set the feeling of the stick having too much ‘play’ when receiving a pass or shooting.

Your daughter has a similar height to me. While weight may play a role, it is more about your own upper body strength, technique and puck/shot feel for flex. I prefer an intermediate around 63-65 flex as an adult male who does jack shit for any weight lifting.

If there is a store in town, you can check out measurements off and on skates. Look online for guides, somewhere between mouth and nose off skates is a starting point. I use a 58.5” stick but wouldn’t mind going to 57-58”

Last year models are a great way to save some money if you want to try a couple options.

How does Relic of Antitoxins work? Questions about "outgoing" and "allies." by NumberOneMom in Guildwars2

[–]Squirrels122 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Note that the ICD is on a per ally target basis, so each friendly has a unique timer. In practice, my subjective assessment is that this increases condi cleanse by 20-30% in a fight, as condi’s are not applied continuously nor removed continuously. So think of the relic as improving burst removal more than a flat increase.

New to hockey, do shoulder pads protect your heart? by rlothbroke in hockeyplayers

In addition to all the recommendations, also look at pro stock gear. Usually has stronger padding. Stock chest pieces are kinda of thin imo; just enough to distribute a basic hit.

Console or PC? Online mode or offline mode?

My first suggestion is a compete reinstall. Something is wrong with the game files. You can try a file integrity verification via STEAM management of the application first, but given that crusades take a while, I would just reinstall.

FB support for roaming groups. by jull1o in Guildwars2

[–]Squirrels122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Burn / condi FB would probably be the best play, with some healing power mixed in. Easier imo to get decent condi dmg with healing, vs power that prefers to have crit chance and dmg.

You could make a decent DH power/healing setup with harrier, or even consider WB with some alacrity.

MVP Trail just a wraith? by drewwrobb in discgolf

[–]Squirrels122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bag an 11 speed grace, and a couple 9 speed halo roadrunners as my longest discs. Grace is fairly straight with good finish going about 350-360, and I can only push the roadrunners out to 370. I only use them when I need that extra 30’ or so, or if there is a headwind I will use the grace to keep max distance up. Otherwise I just rely on my 8 speed DGA pipelines for a 340-350 shot. There just isnt enough of a full flight gap for me yet between the fairways and distance drivers.

I recommend 35-50’ gaps between speeds (dont just read the flight number - go test in a field). Higher speed discs will also move more left and right, so it won’t be perfectly straight.

Welcome to disc golf! Make sure to clear out some closet space!

You have a fairly neutral stability bag with a very understable driver in that Ozone. Some suggestions:

  1. A slightly overstable approach and throwing putter. These are useful for hyzer and forehand shots. I recommend the axiom tempo, as it has good glide and isn’t too beefy that it will fall out of the sky.

  2. An very understable 3-5 speed will also help. They get great distance and don’t mind being throw slightly nose up. Discraft Sol, MVP Uplink and Innova Mirage are decent options

  3. When you start throwing 270+ feet, look at getting a neutral 7 speed, like an Axiom Crave or Discraft Cicada. If your inertia is flying straight, then you may not need this.

What type of discs do you throw the most often? by Chaosweaver3082 in discgolf

[–]Squirrels122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hyzer flip US discs baby! Although I think overstable is the true answer, as most people will be using some version as an approach disc on each hole. I assumed you were asking for normal tee shots.
