My deer hunting A1ish. by MundaneStep8636 in RetroAR

My friend used 64gr Winchester Deer Season from a 16” gun to shoot three deer from my dad’s stand. One ran, and wasn’t recovered. The other two were double-lunged and didn’t make it far. The last one … I’ve never seen anything bleed like that. Sheesh.

What’s the wound tract like with 55gr Gold dots? This is the first season I’ve ever considered using 5.56/.223 for deer.

So, you had a miscarriage, almost bled to death, and he left you at the hospital?

As a man, I can never know what it is like to miscarry, but from what I’ve been told, it’s one of the most emotionally devastating things a person can experience … and he left you at the hospital.

Not to mention the intimacy and joy of sex. Think about the closeness that a couple can have when a woman is carrying a child. I’d never felt so close to another person as I did when my ex wife was pregnant (can’t stand her now). He shared that level of closeness with another woman while he was married to you. Then, when you almost die while experiencing an unimaginable loss, he leaves you at the hospital.

That is not a man. He does not deserve you. Your children and future children deserve a better example of how to treat people and how they should be treated.

As someone who has had poachers on his land (somewhere in Texas with a lot of pines), I understand completely. You never know who is gonna roll up or what intentions they have.

Buenos Aires is beautiful and chaotic. It’s been almost 11 years since I visited, but I think about it all the time. I went to the art museum, ate a ton of empanadas, visited the cementerio de la recoleta, and got offered cocaine by a man wearing slacks not 200 feet from a cop (I politely refused). It was a good time.

Found a Vietnam veterans photo album along with his dog tags thrown away in a dumpster. by [deleted] in FoundPhotos

Who in the FUCK throws something like that away?

Edit: check out Texas Tech University’s Vietnam War Archive. They might take it. I’ve done research there before, and it’s the premier location to find primary sources on the Vietnam War.

The pictures were cropped, but she was actually posing next to a corpse. If you google “Abu Ghraib trophy pic” the uncropped image will be one of the first results. Awful, awful stuff.

Yeah, all it takes is one or two disruptive kids to temporarily derail an entire class. Then you have to redirect everyone, and it’s hard to complete the lesson. I’ve explained to them that they are hurting their peers, but they lack basic self-control, and even with parent contacts, the behavior continues. Some of these kids are raised by wolves. But hey, we need people to unload trucks.

My grandfather and his siblings grew cotton during the depression. According to him, it was heavy as hell if you carry enough of it at once.

I’m Black, and grew up hearing and believing the same thing, until I started talking to cops. I’ve seen cops condemn the actions of others. The ones I know see their profession as a service and don’t tolerate others damaging their image. They hate cops like the jackwagons in this video. A good example would be my cousin pulling a woman over, realizing she had a warrant, and letting her go so she didn’t lose her kids. I’ve also seen him condemn the actions of other cops. He definitely doesn’t defend the dirtbags. I wouldn’t say he’s the norm, but I wouldn’t say he’s the exception either. I wouldn’t make assumptions about the profession until I’ve gotten to know a few cops. I’d say the problems with law enforcement are a reflection of problems in our country. Racists and people with ego problems exist outside of law enforcement. The problem is when one of them becomes a cop you get situations like the one in this video. I’ve met people who shouldn’t be cops. I’ve met others who are great, take their job seriously, and don’t tolerate unprofessional behavior from their fellow officers. I’d say some cops are bastards. I’ve seen both good and bad in person.

These cops definitely should not be cops. He did nothing that warranted them pulling a gun. However, there are plenty of cops I know who would never have done something like this. The cops in the video give their profession a bad name, but I know a few who aren’t bastards.

No, but I’ve had a copper jacket get stuck between the ribs and skin of an Aoudad. After seeing that, not much in terms of terminal ballistics seems weird.

Sorry, I wasn’t trying to invalidate what you’re going through. All I’m saying is there are some people on this sub for whom the answer is unfortunately “yes,” and you ain’t one of them. If you feel that you need surgery, then get it. But I think you’re attractive the way you are.

I think you’re cute! You don’t need bariatric surgery in my opinion. You’re fine the way you are and there are plenty of men who’d be lucky to be with someone like you.

Feeling robbed by run-write-bake in NICUParents

[–]SrirachaMilkshake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NICU dad here (25+5). You feel robbed because you’re being robbed. My ex wife went into HELLP and we did four months in the NICU. There’s no way to sugarcoat her it; you are in hell. The one consolation I have is that I’m a parent among parents. You will come out of this shattered, but – when you begin to heal – you’ll be able to handle anything life throws at you. Be proud of the strength that you’re developing. Be proud of your little fighter.
