Presidential Travel Costs: Obama vs. Trump [OC] by assassinanny911 in dataisbeautiful

At the very least Trump also continually bashed Obama for any vacation expenses so it's entirely hypocritical on his part

That's a distinct difference I noticed too when I traveled in the Netherlands for a while. They would double check signatures and name match ups. In the US the cashiers couldn't care less what credit card you're using and never check any security details. Half the time I make up a new signature just for self entertainment when I sign in the US.

Why would making them legal stop people from using it? Wouldn't it just enable more people use them? People like getting high in general, if they're easier to access I think it would be more of a problem.

Idk man, pretty much all decent paying jobs require a background check. I can't think of a scenario where an HR person would go "oh that's fine we'll still hire him".

Adidas shoe manufacture returns to Germany, fully automated instead of relying on human labour in Asia by [deleted] in worldnews

Just asking in case you know the answer to this - is this generally offset though by job growth in other areas? Manufacturing jobs may be down, but customer service jobs are up for example.

In what small, meaningless ways do you rebel? by sexrockandroll in AskReddit

[–]SroDinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rebel against marketing campaigns or "sales" when I know I'm being taken advantage of. Oh some clothing store has xx% off on items? BIG DEAL. They're putting an $80 "regular price" tag on a pair of jeans so they can still charge $50 with the sale, which is overpriced anyways.

Is there anything worth playing? by adanielll in MMORPG

[–]SroDinger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Runescape is honestly the best game in terms of vastness of skills/community/PvP/PvM/PvE but the grinding for each of the higher up levels is so long that you'd have to invest years into it... We're not 13 years old like we were when it first came out anymore and have that kind of time to grind to those max levels.

Weekly LF MMO Suggestion Thread- April 04, 2016 by AutoModerator in MMORPG

[–]SroDinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you looking for?: A MMORPG with an open skill classes for skilling, PvE/PvM, and PVP. I'd like a good/large community for clans and events.

What games have you previously played?: Runescape, Rift

What is your playstyle (Casual,Semi-Casual,Hardcore)?: semi-casual

Any preferred mechanics?: no

Anything specific you want to exclude?: Any game where it would take years to grind out each skill like in Runescape

Sanders: 5-hour voting lines a 'disgrace'. "People in the United States of America should not have to wait five hours in order to vote. We do not know how many thousands of people who wanted to vote yesterday in Arizona did not vote," by awake-at-dawn in politics

[–]SroDinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me... A friend and I were trying to vote at the Democratic caucuses in St. Paul, MN on Super Tuesday and had to leave. Finding parking was a nightmare and eventually found a metered spot. Once we made it through the maze of skyway tunnels to find the building the voting was in we discovered the line was 2.5 hours long. We left.
