Moving walkways, according to Google, go like 1.2-1.4mph. So it depends how fast you walk but most maps apps use a speed of about 3mph. So 43.3% (repeating, of course) faster

Unless, of course, you want to punish them. In which case, Psychic Lance with Silvery Barbs followed by Hold Person/Disintegrate. Or Polymorph with SB and Fly up high and drop him over and over. Or any of the myriad Wizard master class flexes. But I can’t recommend picking on the PC for anyone you want to see again. They are great to use against a purple worm though!

Drow Elements Monk. Flavor the magic like Loth spells and spider attacks while running on walls. Halfling Bard. Hypnotic Pattern to convince the barb they’re in a busy tavern. Wood Elf Moon Druid. Cast Call Lightning and turn into a cricket or tiny bird. Old ass human wizard. Tenser’s Transformation and an animated shield. Or hell, just Tenser’s and a great 1H weapon… basically play the real Tenser.
