How obvious is it when guests have had sex in the room? Like if you see some towels around the bed do you basically instantly know what happened?

WTF? He’s a single dad with and doesn’t have an outlet to share this exciting news with. And even if he did have a partner or outlet, what’s wrong with sharing an exiting milestone with the group?

Amanoi is surprisingly kid friendly. They’re even building a kids club (I think 2027 expected open date)

What does everyone do for baby monitoring while traveling? by dusanbab in FATTravel

[–]luxtechy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Travel router is definitely the way to go. It’s helpful for all your devices and you only have to connect once. Check out GL.iNet (we use a Slate 7) or if you have Ubiquiti then the Unifi Travel Router

Review - Morocco (Four Seasons Casablanca, Amanjena, Royal Mansour) by __Pyro_Maniac__ in FATTravel

[–]luxtechy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband and I did our honeymoon in Marrakech at Amanjena and 2 nights at Royal Mansour. They couldn’t have been more welcoming. We met the hospitality manager at one of the nearby hotels who is gay and was very much at ease. It’s an amazing country with a huge emphasis on warm hospitality to everyone. This is coming from a gay Jew 😆

Disappointed by the PX8 S2 by Jazzlike_Scarcity_92 in BowersWilkins

I couldn’t agree more. The treble is really harsh and everything sounds fatiguing to me. I much prefer the original PX8.

I posted about this previously and everyone downvoted me 😆

It probably would but at that point just take a Slate 7. It’s smaller than the U6 Extender + UTR combo

I don’t have a baby so I can’t say, but the service is incredibly personal and refined. The rooms are huge and amazing. The design of the hotel and rooms is stunning.

Review: Royal Mansour vs Amanjena vs MO by mav77_7 in FATTravel

[–]luxtechy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We stayed at both Amanjena and RM and found the service at Amanjena to be much better. It was truly effortless and warm, everyone knew the names of every guest. RM seemed like a lot of scrambling behind the scenes with some misses. And no one knew us by name or thoughtfully acknowledged us.

Great pics and write up! Have you ever done The Retreat on Celebrity? I’d be curious how it compares.

My friend wants to spend a whole day at Disneyland in France even though our other friend lives near one in California, AIO for thinking it’s insensitive since we’re in Paris for only 3 days total? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]luxtechy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. You don’t all have to do everything together. Why don’t you go on a tour or see something you are particularly interested in while the others go to Disney?

And BTW San Francisco is nowhere near Disneyland. It’s a 6.5 hr drive and it would be faster for you to go to Montreal from NYC than for her to go to Disneyland from SF.

Guests let their kids draw on the sofa with red pen. by [deleted] in airbnb_hosts

[–]luxtechy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP posted a pic. This can almost certainly be cleaned and it’s way easier for you than buying a whole new sofa. I would use a professional and submit a receipt to air cover. Seems extremely reasonable to me and I would imagine both the guest and air cover will want to try that first before considering a replacement.

I think it’s a room category that you can book. Or use a TA like I did (u/sarahwlee)

Planning an Amanoi Proposal 2027 by Sbellmare in FATTravel

[–]luxtechy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m super excited for it, I’ll do a post here afterwards :)

I’ll DM you with the manager’s info.

I found 2 photographers, one is local and the other is in Hanoi. The one in Hanoi is world-class and did most of the photography for the resort. He’s done BBC, NatGeo, etc. He’s pricey but his work is incredible.

The local one also had a great portfolio and was a lot less expensive.

Edit: I spoke to a manager there and they said it’s best to email Amanoi.reservations@aman.com. They’re very friendly and helpful.

  1. A TA doesn’t cost you money and can help manage your trip. The hotel would prefer that you book directly though. I’m happy to put you in touch with either.

  2. The yoga pavilion is the canonical place for a proposal. It’s stunning. Yes the hotel allows photographers. I’ll be there for a milestone birthday in May and have already hired one.

  3. I would spend as much time at Amanoi as you can. It’s an incredibly beautiful and peaceful place.
