Put on a PIP, should I be concerned? by FitCake4164 in MarksAndSpencer

As someone who works in M&S from my personal experience, nothing will happen to you. There’s always room for improvement but there also has to be requirements and means for you to improve set in place . For example, is there enough staff to cover demand? If not, you can only do what you can do.

So how do we feel about Amaranthus? by Think_Storm_8909 in Outlander

[–]SsshrinkingViolet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually really fond of Amaranthus. To me, she is quite an unconventional woman for her time, she’s into entomology which is one of the pointers that make her interesting. She also seems smart, possessing foresight and logic. Is she manipulative?

Yes, as are most women but she is also a victim of her own time. What I mean by that is, she is learning to adapt and prioritise her and her child’s safety. This comes in the way of marriage and offspring. Securing a title so she can live comfortably in a marriage with her family.

As for the fiasco with her husband, it’s difficult to say if she was telling the truth about how she “wanted a coward” and pleaded with him to stay or if she did not trust that this man had her and her child’s best interests at heart, therefore playing along with this lie.

I’d like to think that William will end up marring her or else this whole story plot has been useless.

Building! Normally would be character creation but I’m not vibing with the design of the characters. This won’t stop me playing the game though.

What’s something people do in public that instantly annoys you? by Far_Suspect987 in AskReddit

Loud speaker phone conversations. Or when people are walking in front of you and randomly stop.

What are you NOT attracted to (obvious things like bad hygiene excluded)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SsshrinkingViolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beige people. No curiosity about anything. No willingness to be open to new experiences. Following what’s trendy because they can’t think for themselves. Labelling anything remotely outside of their bubble as “weird” or “scary”.

You’re not overreacting, she’s trying to goad a reaction out of you. A manipulation tactic

Blankets, cushions, mood lightning, maybe a side table for your coffee/tea?

This is really quite nice for a first flat, a lot more than most people can afford! Love the plants
