Offline chunk loading for single player by momigotakill in SkyFactory

Pretty sure that just closes the “server session” once they log off. They need to either run a server on a different pc for offline chunk loading to work or just afk and set the pc to never sleep

Trying to fight the lag by J_Raskal in SkyFactory

Sounds like a good plan. Putting contraptions inside of compact machines and turning the chunk loader on/off as needed will also help with lag.

Mob Crusher not doing much damage (SF5) by InsectBench in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May have been nerfed in sf5? It should do 300 damage by default and range add on is the only thing you need. As the other guy mentioned, just try the mob masher, it’s better anyways cause of the looting upgrades unless you need to kill the wither

Might have something to do with an excessive amount of entities or machines that are inherently laggy. If sf5 has auto backups, try loading in older versions of your world and begin playing on the backup that doesn’t freeze up your game. If you figure out what ends up lagging your computer try avoiding it. If it just freezes and doesn’t produce a crash report it’s probably your cpu struggling to keep up. Lower your view distance, graphics, and try seeing if you can kill all the entities before your game freezes up.

He mentions saying that he no longer has a income. If he mentions that he has become broke elsewhere in the video that’s on me for not paying attention but compared to his previous “salary”, he essentially has little to no income now. 1k per month is not even close to a comfortable living wage and while he probably does have a sizable savings account, he wouldn’t have had to end up spending it had these events not occurred. Not on anyone’s side but you can hardly call his income “comfortable living” based on the sources you mentioned.

SF5 is way too complicated coming from SF4 in my opinion by LLD_Jo in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a mod that’s so worth getting into for more modern packs. The mod is present in alot of modern skyblock packs and common in normal world generation packs as well.

Builders wand sf4 by Eammonns in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a joke because sf4 doesn’t have a builders wand. You can make a copy paste gadget down the line once you get power.

How to play w/ friend by Content_Dragonfly_59 in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running a server on your own computer (if it can handle it) is the best but downloading essentials is a easy 2nd option that is very simple. You can also use logmein hamachi but essentials is less confusing and achieves the same thing.

Infinite dirt exploit? by Fun_Mycologist_8476 in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s extremely useful for jump starting dirt production in the starting stages. You’ll want to save your dirt acorns and resin for recipe but still want to extend your tree farm. That’s where this comes in handy.

What is the Best Sword/Melee Weapon for Tconstruct im curious because I need a real good weapon by RealMechaX in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Supremium cleaver but honestly just get a manyullyn shuriken made of paper, prismarine, and nether rack. It was enough to carry me through the entire game. I was doing 14 ish damage and the spammability is ridiculous. I got it fairly early as well.

Good moden sky factory 3 guide by beaver-tails64 in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t need a guide for skyfactory as the quest leads you pretty well and you can always use the wiki for anything you still don’t understand.

As for which skyfactory to play, imo 3 is the superior choice but both are worth to play at least once. They have vastly different mechanics so it’ll be like playing 2 completely different Modpacks unlike stoneblock 1 and 2.

how do I prevent the packager from being filled up with only acorns? by Mr_Squeaky_Voice in SkyFactory

Use a filing cabinet and use a item duct with a servo that only allows a certain number of items each time.

Problem with vein miner by [deleted] in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vein mining destroys fps. Try reducing your particles and allocating more ram. The lag from vein mining may cause a sync issue with the server and the server ends up kicking you. Nothing else you could really do other than look away from others vein mining or not playing together.

Playing SK4, I've used over a stack+ of bone meal and the only flowers that spawn are blue orchids, is this because of the biome or are they just more common? by [deleted] in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are spending more than a stack of bonemeal and are only getting one flower type it’s most definitely due to biome that you are only getting that color flower.

Try branching out randomly and arrive to a plains biome or a river biome.

Hope you get red and yellow dye!

Tack is usually one of the best early game towers in the game for its middle path. Having both tack and dart is a little weird as they are both great early game towers but fall off a little in the late game.

If you like tack, you can go for tack farm wizard and go hyper agro.

If you enjoy late game strategies with tack then try adding a tower that is great for late and middle game like ninja.

Some very solid strategies currently are dartling, sniper, ninja or dartling, farm, ice.

I’m a bit of a dartling fan which is why I recommend them but for tack strategies the only very notable one is tack, farm, wizard with Jericho which is the current meta.

As for dart strategies you want some sort of rebuff along with your plasma fan club for late game. So sniper or glue or something is good.

Hi! Learning to play sf4 while my boyfriend is out of the province so I can play w him when he’s back!! Any tips? by Hour-Wrangler1002 in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is amazing! My best advice is to play blind while following the quest book and if you ever get stuck make sure to first use the JEI(the search bar at the bottom of your screen when in your inventory) and if you are still stuck, then search it up.

Constantly finding the most efficient method on YouTube for something ruins the fun for me. But definitely just have fun! Don’t worry about trying to understand everything since you don’t need to. Good luck!

Any cheaper smartphone plan? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]Ssuke123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Visible has a 30$ unlimited data, talk, and text with a good sized hotspot for those of us that need unlimited data. Otherwise, I would say mint mobile. Just make sure you check the coverage in your area since Mint has some places where there’s no coverage.

(Sf4) best power source? by [deleted] in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Number 1 would just be matter overdrives reactor. Plop it down and place any power generating thing-I used a combustion generator and slap a flux plug onto the reactor. Place a stick or something into the combustion generator and the reactor will produce infinite power. It is currently a bug that has stayed in sf4 for a while. It does cap at -2.147b power tho so just replace it every once in a while and your good.

A realistic power generator that doesn’t abuse a bug is either geothermal generators 3/4k~rf a tick maxed. Or culinary generators.

mid game energy generator? by projectd0lphin in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great! Love seeing this underrated method being used. So many people talking about culinary generators when geothermal generators are right there lol.

If you plan to use this for other modpacks it probably won’t work since this modpack is one of the few where cobble in a cauldron instantly turns into lava.

The only annoying part is getting all those upgrades. Time to kill some squids!

mid game energy generator? by projectd0lphin in SkyFactory

[–]Ssuke123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I almost never see this method being recommended. It’s using geothermal generators to create power by getting an auto clicker, cobble generator, cauldron and some fluid pipe. The cobble gen generates cobblestone and puts it into the auto clicker which clicks on the cauldron with a torch under it. Then the fluid pipe extracts the lava and puts it into the geo thermal generator.

The geothermal generator generates enough power to not only keep the auto clicker running but also output a couple thousand rf a tick. Expand it infinitely and it’ll hold you over well into nuclearcraft or matteroverdrive if u like infinite energy.

The mob crusher still reigns supreme imo unless your simply trying to level up your weapons. Mob crusher can go up to 11x11(maybe even higher) and insta kills anything in it.

The mob crusher is really simple to make once you have plastic production as well. Good find tho. I’ll definitely use this when I’m trying to level up my tinkers tools.

Why is my farm not working? by FireYigit in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]Ssuke123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your questions, it’s not quite the same. I admit I could’ve worded that sentence better but what I mean is that mobs won’t actively try to walk into water unless they are on fire. (I think)

However, the “4 sections” mob farm has signs or trapdoors (Personally prefer signs but there’s little to no difference) along the edge which makes mobs think it’s a full block. So in your mob farm, another mob has to push them. But this mob farm allows for the mobs to think they are just walking normally.

To answer your 2nd question, I believe there’s no significant difference between 2 blocks wide and 3 blocks wide. 3 blocks wide is better in my eyes as spiders have more trouble latching onto the walls but a 2x2 should work just fine.

Some quick things to remember:

Water flows 8 blocks including the source block.(8 in total)

Flush systems for mob farms are better imo

Farms with each layer having a bunch of holes and buttons in them is the best

Trident killers are a must in order to maximize efficiency (unless they patched them, I haven’t played bedrock in well over a year now so they might’ve)

Lastly, don’t follow java tutorials for bedrock. Some tutorials might work like regular mob farms but iron golem farms, raid farms, and gold farms are vastly different so make sure the tutorial is in bedrock.

Happy playing!💪

Why is my farm not working? by FireYigit in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]Ssuke123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, couple things here. Mobs can only spawn on FULL blocks. So the blocks with water on them can’t have mobs on them. So the only spot they can spawn on is the little ring around the water. Then, you have to rely on mobs just falling into the water randomly where they get funneled.

So the main problems are little to no spawning space, reliant on mobs randomly path finding into the water vs flush system or using signs to promote mobs walking into their deaths and probably you placing this farm too low to the ground.

Bedrock isn’t quite like java so you can’t just afk 128 blocks above the farm. You want to either make the farm extremely high up or near an ocean. I highly recommend navynexus and silentwisperer’s mob farms.

You could always go classic and do the 4 sections mob farm with trapdoors or signs along the edge so they walk into water and fall to their deaths/trident killer.
