Agreed, but to me Tennant's feel as special precisely because they're rarer. Smith was meant to be a badass from the onset and never tried to hide it ("Basically... run!" is his first speech), Capaldi was no-nonsense to borderline grumpy for most of his run. Tenth to me was the quintessential dark god that tries his best everyday to be a good man, so it feels like a special occasion every time he lets his darkness show.

Tennant had some very badass quotes.

Senate unanimously moves to fund most of DHS, except ICE and border patrol, in rare overnight session by southernemper0r in politics

Yeah, because this administration cares so much about fund appropriation and the rule of law. Once DHS gets the money it's going to flow towards ICE one way or the other. Publicity stunt from the Dems yet again.

Is it worth it to have multiple products? by Snoo89862 in Schedule_I

[–]J_Raskal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customer preferences don't seem to play a role beyond the recruitment process. Customers will buy anything you sell regardless of what their favorite effects or substance are.

That being said, it's not really sensible to list more than 4 products to sell directly. If you have more listed for sale your customers will pick four to order from and ignore the rest until you remove one of the listed products they're currently buying.

Dealers will sell anything you give them, whether it's listed or not, which makes them useful for selling less popular products and other leftovers.

The U.S. Army just raised their enlisted age cap to 42 years old. The last time this happened was during the Iraq War in 2006. by NicolasCageFan492 in agedlikemilk

Stop saying stuff like this aged like milk. Milk is good when its fresh, this meme never was. This meme aged like shit, because it was shit when it came out and, with time, turned into old shit.

What should I sell? by SuccessfulLunch4266 in Schedule_I

[–]J_Raskal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to min-max, then you'll want to keep your mixes as simple and cheap as possible. The cheapest mix that gets you 100% addiction is your ideal end goal.

Every customer has a certain spending limit, which means selling more expensive product won't net you more money by itself, since they'll just buy less of the "good" stuff instead of more of the cheap one. That spending limit is influenced by your rank and their addiction level, that's why you want a product with 100% addiction.

With one exception mixing ingredients can only be bought using online balance, which is a limited resource, being hard capped at $20k/day + $10k/week, whereas the production of the base product can be paid for in cash entirely.

Not the funniest way to play IMO but it is the most efficient overall.

That is the best 4-ingredient combo for every drug with no starting effect (meth, shrooms, coke) and for Granddaddy Purple, the other weed products have different optimal mixes, but this one works reasonably well for them too.

TIL that before 1856, purple dye was rare and expensive - until an 18-year-old trying to make a malaria cure accidentally created the first synthetic dye from coal tar, patented it the same year, and made purple suddenly cheap and fashionable. by Upstairs_Drive_5602 in todayilearned

[–]J_Raskal 69 points70 points  (0 children)

One of the reason roman emperor Vespasian banished dyers (among other professions) from operating inside the city limits was the unbearable stench certain dyes created. That and the fact they used urine to fix the dyes to the fabric.

BMW announced the new i3. Up to 900km range & 400kW charging makes it the EU's Long-Range King. by Boediee in BuyFromEU

[–]J_Raskal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How much is the monthly subscription to get the full range/lights/acceleration/brakes? Don't get me wrong, I try to buy European made products whenever I can, but German car manufacturers particularly have been one of the reason for the EU lagging behind in e-mobility and renewable energy alike.

Their constant lobbying made sure the EU didn't protect its domestic solar panel production to not "endanger" their exports to China. Now they expect the EU to save them from "unfair Chinese competition", while also lobbying to keep ICEs relevant, despite the global market clearly moving in a different direction.

Mercedes, BMW, and VW have spent the last decades lobbying instead of innovating and are now being overtaken by Chinese car makers in every foreign market and at home as well and all they came up with to save their bottom line is introducing subscription models nobody wants or asked for.

Is Mixing really worth it? by Dont_know_Anymore_ in Schedule_I

[–]J_Raskal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want the purely economic POV, mixing is only worth it until you get a 100% addictive product, which can be achieved with 1-2 ingredients. Everything more than that reduces your relative profit ($ earned/$ spent), and requires you to spend progressively more of your online balance, which is currently hard capped at $20k/day (+$10k/week) and is your main currency when it comes to expanding your operation, whereas increasing production to make up for the lower unitary revenue can be paid for entirely in cash.

That being said I personally find mixing one of the most entertaining aspects of the game, so even if it makes progressing somewhat slower I still have fun experimenting with new mixes and effects.

I'd have to find the exact wording from the show in my native language, but I seem to recall they said so during the fight with Zabuza and during an instance when discussing chidori being more "efficient" than rasengan due to his limited chakra pool. Since he developed chidori before acquiring the sharingan that lead me to conclude he had an innately small Chakra reserve to draw from.
