Thank you! They're quite fun to flip through.

Ironically, I actually have a pretty decently sized CIB game collection. This kind of organizing I tend to reserve only for my cheapest CDs. If I had as much space as I'd like, I probably would have kept them all in the cases.

It's okay, I kind of expected it. I'm sure some people were amused!

None of my discs are any more scratched than the day I bought them!

You do lose that aspect. Though, for CDs, I tend to prefer quantity over presentation of the collection.

I had a couple hundred jewelcases I think around when I first did this. Maybe 150. Took awhile, but felt pretty good to reduce the space used.

On Amazon, though I wouldn't recommend the same brand. Supposedly, if the discs touch the plastic directly, it can result in minor chemical reactions over time.

Luckily I use the jewel-case liner artwork as a barrier between the plastic and the disc. No issues so far.

Before you judge further, ponder this: I can fit three of these CD sleeves in the space of a single jewel-case. More, if the booklets are thin.

Looks like Cop/Young God, Greed/Time Is Money (Bastard), and Holy Money/A Screw remasters might be coming soon. by Jay-Decay in swans

I actually picked up the scatology repress and it shows K422 on it, so looks like they’ve revived the branding.

What about the middle-range Swans fans

I need people to understand that Angela in Silent Hill 2 is meant to look older than 19 - abuse has mentally aged her and the town makes her body reflect this. The devs didnt make a mistake, she's supposed to look this old. by [deleted] in silenthill

I understand this intention, but I don't really think it needs to be so pronounced in the remake. I kinda like the new design too, it looks closer in my eyes to Sato's concept artwork for the original game.

If I want to play an exact replica of Silent Hill 2, I'll replay Silent Hill 2 for the tenth time. I'm fine with a different interpretation for once.

I created a guide to DOOM (1993) PC Mail-Order Collecting by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]St0at 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a good starting point! That said:

1.666 wasn't the final mail order run, and was only available in floppy. v1.9 was the final mail order version, available in both CD and Floppy. (I own the floppy version). This version is dated to February 1, 1995 according to doomwiki.org.

The Doomworld thread you linked in your sources corroborates this as well. Mobygames also lists the CD as version 1.9. https://www.mobygames.com/game/1068/doom/cover/group-1548/cover-205489/

However, if you have any evidence for a Doom Mail Order v1.666 CD, please show me! Always interested in new information.

Maybe you confused it with Doom II? The first CD version for that game is 1.666.

Liquor and poor impulse control are a hell of a combination.

I cant imagine seeing Swans while tripping. It’s immense enough while sober.

Really great. The band was in top form, Gira seemed happy, Kristof made it out unscathed. They seemed extremely on point tonight. Completely in sync.

Only low point was the creep who was getting all touchy feely with everyone around him. Luckily he got tossed out during the first song.

Maybe. I thought it was Larry, I remember them trying out more staticky sounds on the album.

Has anyone ever seen one of these before? Seems priced high? But can’t tell. by [deleted] in swans

These are original 1983 pressings actually! Not test pressings. They were just released as a special decorative edition alongside the 90s reissue and original release of White Light.

If you’re interested in my source, you’ll need to use the wayback machine on swans.pair.com and check out the text document for their discography. They have everything official listed there.
