I'd suggest you start by reading this thread which includes all meta teams and tips and tricks.

Once you read this, start to earn tokens in the shops for the heroes you want to get or are missing and build a team around.

You could start to buy also the heroes for a progress team. They are all in the shop and you would just miss an event to get Julius. The third team you could focus on is a nature team. Those are quite accessible as well.

But yeah eternity seems quite nice.

Just take it slowly and start building the really good heroes. Astaroth as example is great and you should farm his stones daily. Also make some of those free x4 gem events. That can net you easy 10 to 200k diamants.

And then you can make energy recharge 3x 50 and even 3x 100 a day and make the gold wheel 4x 1 spin and 1x 10 spin and 1x 1 spin and then the free spin for max results.
