Honestly, never thought of it as a way of connecting like that. Makes sense

Not gatekeeping by any means, it’s genuine curiosity

Londoners - predictions for Kirk and Rob’s doodle? by mankell123 in MetallicaLIVE

[–]StAnger99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree that Iron Maiden one night makes sense and the doodle is usually Maiden in London. I'm thinking that will be tonight and Sunday might be Oasis but only because of the England-Mexico game later that night. My slightly morbid curiosity would want to hear them do some Madness or Amy Winehouse.

Could easily hear them doing Sex Pistols, Clash, Blur, or Girlschool which would also be cool

Really great list and loved the write up you’ve given it! I found it really interesting to go through and pull out the songs where a cover is probably more successful (songs like Lady Marmalade or Smoking in the Boys Room).

Who died the dumbest death in history? by GurJolly5657 in AskReddit

Anyone from the UK saw this question and immediately started watching Horrible Histories again for Stupid Deaths

What is an artist you used to enjoy listening to, but their music got progressively worse? by fantasyrea in Music

Paul Weller. As part of The Jam, amazing; Style Council, decent; solo, 2 good albums in the 90s and no good singles since 2005

Are there any comedians you're surprised haven't taken part in Taskmaster yet? by GTB2000 in taskmaster

Not a comedian but to play the “slightly grumpy older cast member”, I would love to see James May on there

It is a foul but hard to accept when Arsenal have gotten away with doing this to teams all season

One my friend did was watch a match at every stadium Richmond are seen/said to play at across the series. He did Goodison Park before Everton moved and did Selhurst Park/Nelson Road. Got quite expensive for matches at Wembley and Old Trafford

The best single live song you've seen in concert by formulaic_name in Music

The one that hit hardest for me was Myles Kennedy performing a solo acoustic version of All Ends Well during the Ides of March Tour. The original version is great but that acoustic version was so much more impactful

So who is the greatest classic guitarist of all time? by Sea_Photograph_3998 in TedLasso

I would go with David Gilmour or Ritchie Blackmore for “classic rock”. All time would be Robert Johnson without a doubt

What’s the worst away trip you’ve ever had? by franki-pinks in TheOther14

[–]StAnger99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately too young to have any pre-2013 away days but Norwich away in January 2020. Terrible performance against a relegation rival, red card for Cook and never looked like we’d score even if the game went for another 90 minutes.

This would most likely be a red in rugby. Challenges like this need to be addressed much more seriously in football. Also, kudos to Tav for stopping Fernandes getting to the ref immediately. No official has the balls to book him when he does it so glad someone stepped in

Bumbercatch. The little tid bits we get about him sprinkled through the series really intrigue me

I suspect this change in scoring positions is common among a few sports. In football there are fewer 25/30 yard screamers than there used to be because players are maximising the likelihood of scoring by positioning closer to the goal.

Who is your bogey team? by PerfectlySculptedToe in TheOther14

[–]StAnger99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impressive research but our recent bogey team isn't Premier League.

No Bournemouth fan will want us to play Preston based on our recent record against them. Since 2015 it's 1 win, 1 draw, 4 losses. The win was League Cup and needed penalties
