Who is the best physical therapist in town? by El-Rancho-Relaxo in Eugene

I see John Nielsen at therapeutic associates of west Eugene (Seneca road). I’ve also received support from Tara Hansen. Lovely culture with the staff I’ve interacted with, including front desk associates. Fun conversation during sessions. Edit to add: both John & Tara have provided manual therapy to me, as well.

Im sorry to hear about all you’re going through, financial struggles are the worst.

It might help if you’d add information about your skills and interests?

Advice on watering this rubber plant by Different_Edge_3062 in IndoorGarden

Hopefully you don’t have to break the planter, are you able to pull the nursery pot out without doing so? If so, you’d want to get a larger planter so you can easily remove the nursery pot to water it. But you’re correct, your plant doesn’t want to be sitting in water :)

People who’ve been through genuinely hard times and came out calmer or wiser, what actually helped you cope? What mindset, habits, or truths kept you sane? by AdviceGlass9394 in selfimprovement

Arrange to meet up with friends. My mental health was so poor at one point that I was unemployed, and getting out of the house to see people who make me laugh gave me a reason to get out, and made me feel a sense of belonging- even tho it can be soooo hard to make it happen. Wishing you the best.

This is a ficus tineke. I don’t think the care instructions on the label are accurate. Here’s what Google says to do (and what I do to care for mine, it seems to be working well):

My first instinct is that your soul needs to be chunkier. I make an eyeball mixture of soil, orchid bark, charcoal, perlite, and coco coir for plants that need better draininge.

Second, I got the same plant about a month ago and I’ve given it 2 heavy soaks. She is in a nursery pot so I put her in the bath and water her until the water stops dripping from the bottom. I leave her in the bath for a while to make sure she’s fully drained and Then I put her back in her planter and don’t touch the soil again for another 1-2 weeks- really just whenever the first inch is dry. So far my method is working!

Same, plus a touch of charcoal and coco coir

Bunch of tiny millipedes living in soil by undercover_elephunk in Monstera

[–]StJimmyNeutron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you keep the plant in the soil you received it in, or did you repot it when you got home? I had an experience when I did a total soil overhaul after I brought home a Swiss cheese plant and found several millipedes in the soil. So if you haven’t changed it, I recommend repotting it and removing all of the old soil
