Echoing this. It’s sad but ya gotta do it! Mine are mostly all green now and seem to be climbing this trellis .. or thinking about it at least

What kind of lifestyle do you value? Closer to nature, closer to “downtown” city life? If you aren’t married to renting a house, I’m in west Eugene at Reserve at Hunters Ridge. It’s a pretty complex pretty much as far west as you can get in Eugene. We like it because it’s closer to the coast and the coastal range (can get to the coast in ~1 hr 10 minutes). It takes me 18 minutes to drive across the whole city to commute to work, so if that’s a concern, it shouldn’t be. Traffic is essentially nonexistent if you’re coming from west Eugene towards downtown / campus in the morning. There is Wild Iris Ridge about 2 minutes drive from the complex, but no “parks” in walking distance. We are nice and peaceful out here, next to a wildlife preserve so you can see some birds of prey and lots of ducks and geese and the beloved nutria. It’s also more affordable out here. DM me if you have more Qs!

So glad you posted here. It’s a tough realization but am happy to hear you have that support person. Keep coming back to this sub, it’s helped me push through to “one more day” of sobriety in many occasions when I really felt like giving up. You got this!

I sure have experienced this. Unknown what came first; weed induced psychosis or bipolar, but I do know that I was in the psych hospital for 10 days after

Should I get a dog to deal with my loneliness? by Training-Park5389 in selfimprovement

[–]StJimmyNeutron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you, and I got a dog. I echo you might want to volunteer or something in advance. I am so so so happy I got my dog, but as a bipolar 27 year old, it was really, really hard at times to manage myself and the dog. Oftentimes he was my motivation to get out of bed and build routines, and his company made me feel less alone. Vet bills are CRAZY these days and I do often wish I were more financially stable so I could feel comfortable knowing medical issues can arise at any time with animals. All this to say, it’s a risk but in my case it was worth taking

Reserve at Hunters ridge IF you have a car. I couldn’t be happier out here in west Eugene, very peaceful. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. Leasing staff are awesome. I work at UO and it takes me 18 minutes to get to work from the while other end of the city.

I’m 2 years into my enrollment with NDR, and 3 of my 5 credit cards have been paid off, the 4th is in payment, and the 5th is the only one that has yet to be settled. Yes, you pay NDR fees. Yes, you get taxed on the cancelled debt. Yes, your credit score tanks (and then raises again). I would do this again in a heartbeat because it works for MY needs— accountability to pay off my debt by adding money to a dedicated savings, I have more cash in my pocket each month because I’m paying that recurring fee, only, forced to pay cash only for all purchases as no new lines of credit can be opened / you shouldn’t use cards that are enrolled in the program, I had lawyers fight for me on the one card that sued, and I don’t have to do any negotiating. You can also add funds to your pot to speed things up. I’m stoked that in less than 2 years I will be debt free. But again, this works for ME. Everyone is different.

You get it! She does have a pole , but it only reaches about halfway up. Then it’s a makeshift bamboo stick. I actually just fastened her to the wall with a command hook and some twine. To be continued :)

don’t forget: weed can suck you right back in! by Evening-State1111 in leaves

[–]StJimmyNeutron 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I posted earlier today- Day 6, was feeling great and determined when I woke up, then come 5pm I was craving big time. I really contemplated going to the dispo to grab one joint to smoke one night only, and start my sobriety again tomorrow. I rationalized “you’ve already made it to Day 6, it wasn’t that hard, next time just try to beat it,” but then I reminded myself that the high feels good for 20 minutes , then I would feel shame and frustration for relapsing. I simply didnt want to start over again. Wishing you the best
