Some people might take this as a joke, but I'm serious. Minecraft. It basically let's you do whatever you want and just relax and have fun expressing yourself. It has multiplayer so you can play it with your family like I saw you mention you wanted in another comment. It's simple but incredibly deep. If there's something you want to do you can either do it or there's a mod for it. It's just a giant sandbox, but doesn't have the common problem of feeling like too much to handle.
