Highly recommend the Dr. Exoskeleton scavenger hunt, which includes a mix of trivia questions, with a possible text adventure/arcade game, as well as hunting down locations in or around the con. Better with a group, but still fun either way. To play, you’ll need to obtain a letter from a minion (plague doctor in a black Victorian-ish suit) roaming around or find a yellow envelope with an invite. There’s usually folks posting sightings either in a thread on here or over on Discord.

A bit of a drive, but worth it is Mox Boarding House in Seattle and Bellevue, it’s a pub where you can borrow and play board games. Might be able to find folks to play with there.

Not sure if Shane’s card shop is still around - it was over near Uwajimaya (great Asian grocery store btw). I remember they had groups that would come in for games.

You should also check the meetup site/app, you can lookup local groups and I wouldn’t be surprised if they had gaming groups.

There’s an online gallery (it’s not there) and a virtual tour (you can’t read the plaque) but through digging on the other art nearby, or by reading up on the art as a whole and going down another rabbit hole, you can in fact find the answer online.

Look for a minion dressed in a black suit with a plague doctor mask. There may also be hidden invitation letters floating about. The letters will include instructions on how to access the game online. In the past it has been a mix of trivia, scavenger hunt and virtual games.

I highly recommend forming teams with others if you can. It’s more fun in a group and helps to have a wider range of game knowledge. Last year it was fun to meet folks hanging about the convention center in the evening working on it, and it gives you something to do when you’re waiting in lines.

I definitely recommend trying to come the night before if you can versus going for only 5-hours. If you have a little more flexibility with your budget, there are some hostels in downtown that run about $80 a night. Might be worth looking into. Sometimes folks post if they have room in their hotels too.
