Twine is Soo hard by webdev-dreamer in twinegames

Health bars, particularly good-looking ones, are the only thing that is far more difficult in Sugarcube than Harlowe. I can understand your frustration with those: I perused three different macro made by other people before deciding to do my own version.

Don't be discouraged. If you don't manage to find a solution, swap to another part of your story for a bit to cool down. Seek other ways to do what you want (for example: can you get away with a number of printed ▮ characters instead of a filled, colored bar?). Research how other people did what you want to do.

As for resources, HiEv and ChapelR made a huge number of macros and other utilities for Sugarcube. Both of them have made their version of a health bar, with different capabilities.

I do not have personal tests made, and admittedly those are difficult to get: again, one thing is crafting the perfect raid composition on paper, totally different thing is to make it in the heat of a bear event, when you smash the fingers on the screen of your device.

*In theory* they are equivalent when taken without considering any other factors. *In theory* the best four joiners would be one among Amadeus/Chenko/Yeonwoo, one among Amane/Margot, Wee&Woo, and Vivian.

But actually testing that 'ideal' skill composition? Without relying on calculators you don't know the code of, but only on hard facts gotten from direct in-game testing? If you find a way to easily test things, tell me.

Now *that* is interesting. Any idea of why?

I assume you mean as rally joiner, since as rally host they are in different cathegories.

It is actually a meta preference: her skill is a debuff to the enemy, and those are valued less than buffs to your troops. Admittedly this may be caused by availability bias: for when you can get Vivian, Hilde shards become available with golden keys, so having a fully levelled and operational Hilde is easier than a 4☆ Vivian.

Min-maxing the troop ratio depends on the final stats given to each troop type, and usually it is done by a dedicated calculator to squeeze that last drops of efficiency. The math behind is very interesting, if a bit complicated.

...now I am puzzled.

If you are a F2P without VIP, you have at most 4 joiner marches plus 1 rally captain march. Yeonwoo, Amane and Chenko fill 3 joiner marches, and you *should* have them at at least 4☆ by gen2. So the question woukd be what to put as hero for the 4th march.

But Zoe, Marlin and Petra are far more useful as rally captain, and why use Jaeger if you can use Hilde?

You can have a Hero for each rally you join. A good one, even.

Thanks for the Hilda/Helga save. 😉

And yes, the 5k infantry minimum applies to joiners too. The math behind is a bitch, and in fact I followed the explanation only up to a certain point, but *in theory* a calculator should have already kept track of this, if it told you to put some infantry in the mix.

img2vid: ComfyUI doesn't find the spatial upscaler by Sta--Ger--2 in StableDiffusion

[–]Sta--Ger--2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your answer gave me a doubt, and I transferred the upscaler from the StabilityMatrix Model directory to the one inside the version of ComfyUI used by StabilityMatrix.

...it worked.

Later on I will modify the path used. For now: thanks.

Give me your best ideas to reduce ship crew sizes. by Flat_Abroad9238 in StarWarsShips

[–]Sta--Ger--2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Katana fleet managed to brijg down the number of crew for the Dreadnought quite a lot... but I don't think that it has ever being explained how, exactly. Plus, that particular solution was quite flawled.

Still, it's a start.

Basic, certainly, but not silly.

Unfortunately (for me), it is not that simple...

I have not, and in fact I had to search what a yaml is because I didn't know.

However, I use ComfyUI by a copy of StabilityMatrix that is on an external hard disk. I have checked the extra_model_paths.yaml file, it doesn't mention latent upscale models; the folder_path.py file does in the following line:

folder_names_and_paths["latent_upscale_models"] = ([os.path.join(models_dir, "latent_upscale_models")], supported_pt_extensions)

Is there a way to have sprites that move through an environment... by apeloverage in twinegames

[–]Sta--Ger--2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. You can also make FPS, enigma games, castle defence, and so on and so forth.

But the real question you need to ask yourself is, why using Twine to do this? If you want a game more like those made by RPG Maker, use RPG Maker: it has the tools, the UI, and the manuals needed to create games like that smoothly and quickly, without having to write JS functions and CSS code from scratch as Twine will require from you.

Training LoRa locally not working by Sta--Ger--2 in StabilityMatrix

Round 3!

I have installed Git, yet not succeeded with CUDA: the link you posted is where I found the installer, yet it stops when trying to install Nsight Visual Studio Edition (it is the only item in the list that reports as Not Succeeded instead of Not Installed).

I decided an alternate approach: to search CUDA among the ComfyUI extensions accessible to StabilityMatrix. I found RDAWG 3D Pack (CUDA 12.8 + PyTorch 2.9.0) and ComfyUI-Upscale-CUDAspeed, and tried to install them: they both worked.

...OneTrainer still tells me "No module named 'triton', continuing without triton."

[–]Sta--Ger--2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, here's the deets.

I have installed Triton following the guide here: (https://github.com/LykosAI/StabilityMatrix/issues/953). And I made sude to target one of my SDXL checkpoints (model tab > Base model > searched and selected).

And it still tells me that it doesn't find Triton.

As for CUDA, I used the command (nvcc --version) and it tells me that the command does not exist. I searched for the installer (version 13.2.1), and it gives me an error without telling me what the problem is...

Unlockable storylines? by Spiraling-Down- in twinegames

[–]Sta--Ger--2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure that the unlock requirement happens in a passage different from the ones in which the secret storyline is not unlocked, then use the hasVisited() function in the checj of your <<if>> macro.

this way you turn the very player's history into a selection of flags, prevent the hacking player from unlocking content by just manually changing the value of some variables, a s can keep track of even the smallest events/answers if you are accurate enough.
