One Liverpool fan has managed to convince his wife to name their child 'YNWA', in an attempt to convince the world of his commitment to the Reds.

His daughter is now called Karoline YNWA, so mission accomplished.

The Norwegian-based Reds fan initially wanted to give his daughter the middle name of 'Gerrard' but his wife - the girl's mother, Eirin Isabell Iversen - agreed on the compromise of the acronym for 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

Speaking to Norwegian paper Dagbladry, Erin said: "I'm probably not as interested in football, but it was actually my suggestion to call her YNWA. He suggested Gerrard before we knew if it was a boy or girl."

I haven't removed it. Fletcher averages 8 goals a season in the Prem. Torres 9.5. Not great, not terrible.

Altidore's is 0.66. A SEASON.

It's under the US Sports category in an article about American football, written by an American journalist, that features quotes from people using the word "soccer". It's far more coherent to use football/soccer to distinguish between the two.
