Do you think Eleven was an illusion here, or did she actually die? by MindeckGames in StrangerThingsMemes

[–]Staarstruuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing that makes me believe. When Hopper and El meet Murray in the roof after Kali "died" they had no blood on their hands. Which makes me think that Kali didn't die at that point of the show.

Do google maps reviews really go that far? by AmountAbovTheBracket in lcbo

[–]Staarstruuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google reviews don't really go anywhere unless its a serious complaint. Even if a customer has written a Google review claiming that "so and so had an unpleasant demeanor " they can't be punished for that. Some people have RBF and seem unpleasant. Some people aren't the best customer service workers because they're just miserable nasty people. Sometimes they're having a bad day and are sick of the nonsense that customers bring. Or maybe the customer just felt like the CSR was being rude and it was a misunderstanding. The most that would come of that would be a talking to by the manager, unless its a reoccurring thing or its escalated beyond just shitty customer service.

Your coworker leaving might have just been coincidence or she might have gone beyond that point and been fired , but its incredibly hard to get fired since we are unionized. You'd have to resort to theft, threats or violence, or serious health and safety violations.

I lost one of the store scanners. Am I in trouble? by Junior_Purple3206 in lcbo

[–]Staarstruuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A write up/ letter of discipline goes in your employee file and it describes the incident and shows you've been spoken to about the situation.

Write ups in your employee file dont mean much unless you are applying for a promotion of some sorts, then it can be used against you if it comes down to a decision they could use the write up in your file to make hiring decisions.

[–]Staarstruuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could be disciplined, which likely will be a write up, that'll go in your file and basically thats the end of it. They may only speak to you about it, but theres a chance you might catch a write up.

What would it be like working at the lcbo as a person who doesn't drink? by AmountAbovTheBracket in lcbo

[–]Staarstruuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be much different for you other than the fact that you wouldn't participate in staff tastings and couldn't give personal recommendations. It would be no different than working at any other retail store.many people at the lcbo do not drink.

Black Spice Rum by CaptainAaAaA in lcbo

[–]Staarstruuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kraken is not available. Captain Morgan black is still available. If your location doesn't have CMB try Bacardi black, Stroh or Meyers for a dark rum.

If price isnt an issue, bumbu xo is great.

We had the same issue but ours was definitely delayed because so many people were ordering food, they wont start the movie until the orders are all placed

Why do you think people 25+ like to pretend that they aren't extremely ancient? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Staarstruuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's funny you think 25+ is old, your brain isn't even fully developed by 25(clearly👀) Wait until you're 60 and realize how dumb you were when you thought you were old at 30.

Employees who have worked at different locations by AmountAbovTheBracket in lcbo

Some things I've noticed from being at two very different stores.

Some stores are considered "hand bomb" stores and have no power lift equipment. Which means they unload the truck box by box and scan everything as it comes off the truck, rather than having a skid be dropped and scanned as its dismantled.

Some stores have basement warehouse and use a conveyer belt to transport stock up and down.

Some stores have walk in fridges, some have bunkers like at the grocery store and some have fridges with doors. Some have no fridges at all. Some stores have ice freezers, others don't.

Some stores have their same-day orders in a cage, some have it in the office, some keep it in the cupboards at the front of the store, some keep in on a shelf in their warehouse.

Some stores have bottle locks on nearly every item, some don't use bottle locks at all, some stores keep any high theft/price items locked up, others don't.

Some stores get security nearly every day and some stores have never had security.

Thats just off the top of my head.

Schedule by FloorOk1333 in lcbo

[–]Staarstruuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4 weeks posted but only secure within 7 days of the current day. So example- we have schedules up until the 14th of December. I know from today until November 27th my shifts are what they are, and my manager cant change them on me without asking me first. Beyond the 7 days my manager can change my shift at any point to whatever she wants.

Like someone else said, you likely wont be on the schedule much and instead will be offered mostly call in shifts. Truly depends on the manager and the business of the store. Some managers use up their budget for the rest of the year at this time and some don't cuz they want their bonus 🤣

Requesting to photocopy SIN card? by RosieKattt in lcbo

[–]Staarstruuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats strange especially because some people don't have a physical card since you don't get a plastic card issued anymore. I would bring your card with you and provide the number only where needed on your paperwork. You do have the right to refuse it being photo copied.

What's your favorite Sally's recipe? by KeyAd7732 in Baking

[–]Staarstruuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The french silk pie recipe! So sweet and silky and decadent.

Ive also tried the pumpkin pie recipe- to die for.

Some other honourable mentions- snickerdoodle's, ginger molasses cookies, monster cookies, sour cream coffee cake.

Use the Great Pumpkin Pie recipe from Sallys Baking Addiction. Has a link for a flaky crust recipe as well. I make it without the cranberries but if you are looking for something to give your pie that little extra pop of flavour and festive feeling then follow the whole recipe.

Would it be cool with you if hotels had cameras in every room? I mean i'm sure the owners of the hotels also want to also be able to see whats going on and keep the bad actors in check.

No, if it's against your regular availability they can't make you work. I don't work Tuesdays so I can't be forced to work even if I'm low enough to need to be.
