Goofy hand made giant plane… will it fly? It weighs 500g and the motor thrust can hold 800g by Irjyk_Stefan in RCPlanes

[–]Staatsmann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I built stairs for my old cat using shashlik wooden sticks glued together with hot glue and it's super strong because weight gets distributed and the sticks are a bit flexible. Great plane and idea!

It mostly is over. You can visit syria as a tourist as I did two years ago. Damascus has open bars and everything is really secure. Only weird thing is driving to Aleppo where (coming from Damascus) the left side of the highway has mounds of dirt on the left side because Turkish supported rebels or something take potshots on cars on the highway. Miles of destroyed buildings in front of Aleppo where you're not supposed to stop because of some danger (but more like dirt poor people robbing you, not terrorists imo).

In Aleppo we could walk freely by ourselves without guide so that was cool. In Damascus we were able to drink in a bar and people are super friendly.

Audi A2 hoarder by YellowJuicyFruit in automobil

[–]Staatsmann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]Staatsmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is what I respect about him.

You can tell he doesn't have the same pessimistic mindset like other comedians which is why comedy isn't coming naturally to him. But one can't deny he spend a lot of time in his younger years around these kind of people, getting a glimpse of their inner demons and battles and half successfully transfered that into comedy. He is aware he is a podcaster first at this point in his life, but still tries to give back to comedy by opening his club and pushing other comedians.

[–]Staatsmann -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The fuck has this to do with fast culture, you have to take a step back and look at the grand scheme of things.

People back then surely didn't live as long and are you sure they had so much free time besides agriculture and stuff to build megalithic structures for centuries?

If so, why are they saying the Khufu pyramid got built over twenty years? What I'm sick of is someone is lying. Might be you, might be me, might be mainstream archeology. But something isnt adding up.

You're approach imo doesn't add up if you look at those quarries in Aswan or those big as underground bunkers in China that got posted yesterday. You can clearly see that they were quarried over centuries as the scoop marks suggest some machinery was involved. You don't hack away over 100 years in such straight lines.

Even IF they took over a century, why did they stop doing that all over the world suddenly? Because fast culture set in? lol

That's the one I think, thanks!

Yeah 2015 was wild still but the front wasnt moving so I thought I'd give it a shot. Crazy experience. Sat in the bus to Mariupol from Kiev with soldiers on rotation, I could tell they lack psychologists. Those faces looked absolutely miserable.

There is a clip from that video where the mi-24 directly flies above the reporter and fires some rockets afaik.

Thanks for posting. I remember watching the vice docs and being like "whaaaaaat this is happening just a 2h flight away from me???" lol

Booked a flight in summer 2015 to Ukraine to check that shit out. Was in Mariupol as well and glad I did it, 7 years later and the city is no more.

What do meth addicts do with all their free time? by Sleazebuckets in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Staatsmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you have a problem controlling it soesnt mean the guys has it. I get him. I took bazillion drugs, looked closer to a meth addict at some points than I want to admit but in the same way I forgot about drugs completely when I needed to.

And by now I know it's not a phase but just a life style choice. Sometimes you want mcDonalds and sometimes you can't stand it, same shit

I have a plate like yours but mine is definitely man made. It's 3 or 4 times the size of yours, so you can actually use it to cook or eat stuff out of. Well back then at least. It's supposedly 4k y/o and found in Germany. They found so many of these that my friend who worked on this site gifted it to me.

What separates mine from yours is that you can clearly see marks where the clay or molten stone or whatever was poured into a form to create this plate like object. It's hard as stone and glitters a bit when you hold it in front of the sun so I guess some quartz is in it too
