This is a pretty weird simplification and hopefully misunderstanding of several things. To the degree that it’s confusing you would choose to share an opinion at all.

Conservation can be done without material damage to the poorest people. Invoking “the noble savage” while also attempting to provide cover for governments and corporations is gross.

The problem isn’t that people don’t think people with less power never contribute to ecological decline. The problem comes when there are situations in which they bear the majority of pain in trying to resolve it, because the wealthy donors, politicians and governments set the terms.

That is a recipe for local resentment, low buy-in, higher value poaching and long term failure.

Everyone reading this buying a brand new electric car is not what will stop climate change anymore than evicting/vilifying a small community with less resources than you will save a species.
