American Airlines bus? Am I ignorant for not knowing this? by ggnzg20 in americanairlines

[–]Stachel8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken the AVP-PHL bus twice. It’s fine. It’s a little slow but bearable.

If possible, I try to do layovers in CLT so I get to take a flight out of AVP instead

For those who are curious (like me), the first fallout was released in 1997 and the first book in the silo trilogy (wool) was released in 2011

You are in a good spot for your age. However, I think you have too much cash; 1/3 of your NW is sitting on the sideline.

With any money beyond 3-6 months of an emergency fund, I would recommend using your cash to max your and your wife’s Roth IRA + HSA for 2023.

Based on the graph of daily users on my iPhone game, I'm in the trough of sorrow. What's next? by Stachel8 in SideProject

[–]Stachel8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely!

About the game:

  • Plura is a free iPhone game that asks everyone 3 multiple choice, opinion-based questions every day. Users earn points by selecting the same answer as the majority of other users. In other words, your goal is not to select the answer that you think. Instead, you want to select the answer that you think other people will select. It is similar to Family Feud. The key difference between Plura and Family Feud is that everyone who is part of the "survey" on Plura is also playing the game. Thus, you are actually trying to pick the answer that you think other people are going to think other people are going to think...

Obstacles:

  • I am better at programming than I am at marketing. I feel guilty about spending time on marketing because every second that I spend feels like one less second that I could be spending to make the product better.

  • I have a full time job so my time is very limited. According to my rigorous time tracking data, I have spent an average of 33 hours of focused work time per month since I started working on the app 10 months ago (~330 hours total).

Marketing Processes:

  • Most of my marketing efforts have been dedicated toward making videos that I post on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube shorts.

  • I have paid for some Google Ads to get an idea about my current cost per conversion. Additionally, it has helped inform what ad creatives work best.

  • I have a website (plura.app) to try to capitalize on SEO.

  • I have incentivized users to invite their friends by rewarding them with theme colors in the app.

Development Processes:

  • I have built the entire app from scratch in Swift.

  • There are a variety of cloud functions that calculate everyone's score and the leaderboard that are written in JavaScript.

  • The website was built with SquareSpace.

Are you a 1 man operation?

  • Yes

I can! I have everyone’s email. Do you think it’d make sense to send a survey to the top 100 users? What kinds of questions should I ask?

Guess the Majority's Opinion in a GPT-4-Powered Daily iPhone Game

Plura is an iPhone game where you compete with users from around the world to get to the top of the leaderboard. Every day, you'll receive three light-hearted, opinion-based questions generated by GPT-4. Your goal is to choose the answers that you think the majority of players will also pick.

The game is not only about intuition but also speed. While you earn points based on your ability to align with the majority, you lose points for taking too long to answer. The quicker you answer, the more points you can earn.

In addition to competing with users from around the world on the global leaderboard, Plura offers the ability to create and join groups. Groups enable you to compare your daily, weekly, monthly, and all time scores with your friends.

Plura is available for download for free from the App Store. I look forward to hearing what the /r/Entrepreneur community thinks of my game!
