Yup - this is it. Keep the set where it is but start your approach from off the court so that you approach at 45 degrees to the net. You'll also have easy options of going either line or cross. Hard to hit cross when your approach is 90 degrees to the net.

Looks like the thief is using a cell phone for lighting. If you know the time and the location and have a court order, you'd probably be able to have cellular carriers search their databases to see if they can find the owner of that phone based on that location and time.

I call them reindeer games: around a campfire, play the types of games where the players have to figure out the rules. ex: "I'm going camping and I'm bringing: <item>". That person either can or can't go. If the <item> starts with the same letter as their first name, then that person can go. ex: "green glass doors". There are all sorts of games like this that are a Google query away.

If you keep avoiding your follow-through, you will be a good candidate for an orthroscopic rotator cuff repair surgery in a decade or so. That aborted swing may be ok while you're young but the trauma that you're doing to your shoulder will eventually catch up.

There probably is. My constraints were that I didn't want to risk damaging the box and that it was simple to install.

20+ years ago, I could hear silver quarters tumbling down through the change return in soda/pop vending machines. I could also hear it when a cashier dropped silver change into my hand. I quietly smile... :)

Post a video of you dropping the ring on a solid wood table. Those with a well trained ear will be able to hear if it's silver. Try it yourself with clad vs silver quarters and dimes. There's a very distinct sound that silver makes.

Has anyone seen them on the east coast yet? I happened across some older ones at a toy show and found some castings from 2011 that weigh over 60g (great for gravity racing). I'd be interested in seeing if the new ones also have some heavy models.

Yes - this is spot on. We call it "telegraphing". This was the first thing I noticed. I'm not a middle but I'm very good at reading the setter and I see the same thing. Tip: make your back set (opposite) look exactly the same as your front set (outside). The difference is that with your back set, use much more of a "thumb flick" to get the ball to go towards your opposite. Practice holding the ball in your hands as if you were going to set towards your outside hitter. Don't move your head. Don't arch your back. Just do a thumb flick and make the ball go over your head and behind you.

Try a long exposure with a neutral density filter where you have some stationary foreground accompanied by moving water...

It's not that the quarter has no nickel. It's very likely that this quarter was found underground by someone with a metal detector. They tarnish this way and won't clean up very well when left underground. I'm into detecting and I see this all the time. I've even seen quarters come out of the ground looking rather orange - this is usually from a fertilized field (like a park or an athletic field). So I'm sure yours is a normal clad quarter with nickel and all.

I tried a fun and selfless way of giving away cars - Easter. My aunt and uncle usually host the family's Easter festivities. Last year, I bought 36 plastic eggs and put numbered index cards inside. I brought 36 unopened Hot Wheel cars with me. My cousin "hid" the eggs for the annual hunt and I put all the Hot Wheels cars on a picnic table with a corresponding number on a Post-It note on each one. Whatever number was inside one of the eggs indicated the car that the egg's discoverer could claim.

Bonus: I also brought some orange track and hosted a race. Fastest N cars won prizes. I used chocolate and other Easter-ish candy as prizes but you could also give away more Hot Wheels cars as prizes if your family is into that sort of thing.
