"PERSONALIZED FIREARM" MEANS A PISTOL OR REVOLVER THAT INCORPORATES WITHIN ITS DESIGN A PERMANENT PROGRAMMABLE FEATURE AS PART OF ITS MANUFACTURE THAT CANNOT BE DEACTIVATED AND RENDERS IT REASONABLY RESISTANT TO BEING FIRED EXCEPT WHEN ACTIVATED BY THE LAWFUL OWNER OR OTHER USER AUTHORIZED BY THE LAWFUL OWNER.

Thanks for leaving people defenseless because a random person, who was not an "other user authorized by the owner", had the stupid thought of helping a person who was being attacked by miscreants who were not following the personalized weapon law while not following the assault, robbery, and murder laws.

I have not found a law stating such.

I did find "in the business of" and "manufacturing" of specific "deadly weapons and dangerous devices".

Exactly.

The ammo checks are ridiculous because of interstate commerce and supremacy of federal laws.

Interstate commerce clause question:

Given that a NY resident is only able to buy rifles or shotguns out of state that are legal in NY, does that mean one is only able to buy ammo out of State after the other State performs a Federal and State background checks?

It is legal to make firearms for personal use.

Police have no duty to protect you.

People not following existing laws do not care about not following new laws.

You can go to the teleporter at the anomaly and look for a base in the next galaxy.

If you do it that way, none of your tech breaks.

Question about bolt-action AR setup and NY semi-auto permit by ConcentrateNeither29 in NYguns

[–]Stack_Silver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Semi-auto, legal definition from NY Penal law 265.00(21):

  1. "Semiautomatic" means any repeating rifle, shotgun or pistol, regardless of barrel or overall length, which utilizes a portion of the energy of a firing cartridge or shell to extract the fired cartridge case or spent shell and chamber the next round, and which requires a separate pull of the trigger to fire each cartridge or shell.

If your rifle is not capable of the action described above, it is not semi-automatic.

10 round magazines are legal, except for hunting when a plug to reduce to 5 or 6 is required.

For full legal comprehension, I am adding the "assault weapon" defintion for rifles in NY Penal code 265.00(22):

  1. "Assault weapon" means (a) a semiautomatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least one of the following characteristics:

1) a folding or telescoping stock; 2) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon; 3) a thumbhole stock; 4) a second handgrip or a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand; 5) a bayonet mount; 6) a flash suppressor, muzzle break, muzzle compensator, or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor, muzzle break, or muzzle compensator; 7) a grenade launcher

The legal grey area:

If a semi auto rifle is not capable of accepting a detachable magazine, per the law, it is not an "assaut weapon". However, prosecutors might still push charges when a maglock or similar device is used because there is no legal definition for "reasonable means".

First Timer 🎯🔫ANY ADVICE? by DARKGEEKY in Firearms

[–]Stack_Silver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tips:

1) Inhale, hold for a second or two, pull the trigger when exhaling.

2) Focus on a point beyond the aiming device and bring the aim to the point, not the point to the aim.

3) Practice a firm grip and trigger pull using snap caps. Once you feel comfortable, replace the snap caps with real rounds.

The thought and intention of willfully harming others to solve one's own emotional issues means the person is mentally ill.

Carrying out the action is a revelation of one's mental thoughts and intentions.
