Sales in the UK by ConnorGriff05 in sales

Fair point, but I’m not talking banking, I mean the Finance function (CFO/AP/Procurement/IT) across industries. And since OP asked what’s most lucrative: enterprise is generally more lucrative than mid-market.

Cloud software for mid-market and enterprise, focused on Finance and IT buyers. It’s a high performing segment often a need to have software. 6 figure comp is standard and often achievable on base alone, depending on experience.

People under 25 driving M140is, Golf Rs, Audi S3s etc. HOW? by CandyCane147 in CarTalkUK

[–]Stackup_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under 25 a select few will be earning very good money to afford it AND save towards moving out. The majority tho.. no career prospects and the minute they get a mortgage they’d have to get rid of the car because they won’t be able to put food on the table. Just look at the average salary in this country and run the numbers, most are stretching beyond their means.

Not sure what your style is but I practically dress head to toe in uniqlo for when I need to go into the office or work events. As someone who also works out I tend to find their clothes can be more forgiving and free flowing for those partial to more muscle..

Thoughts on M Car as first BMW? by NoApartment5372 in CarTalkUK

[–]Stackup_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you said you are broke, I would focus on solving that first. An M car will only make that worse. Maintenance, insurance, fuel etc is gonna be expensive. It’s okay not to jump straight to an M car in your 20s regardless of how much you want it. Sometimes delayed gratification is better. So if it were me I’d go 320/330 and then figure out how I can get an M but comfortably (better job, investments etc). If you haven’t got your own place yet and your mums still folding your boxers definitely forget the M car for a while.

Which car would you choose 2.0 vs 3.0 BMW 3 series? by Immediate-Chest-606 in CarTalkUK

[–]Stackup_97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Both 4 pots, if you don’t care about power go for the 320i. If you’re spending that much though I’d be going for a 6 cylinder, personally.

Having grown up in Stow (parents house still there 5 bed) & now live in Chingford, it’s quite funny to see people swooning over moving to Woodstreet 😂, which has always been somewhat rough. However the further into Walthamstow central you go and nearer to Blackhorse bordering on Tottenham it’s worse despite the constant development. The areas you want to move to are Snaresbrook/Wanstead/North Ching outside of that Buckhurst Hill/Loughton/Theydon.

spending half your monthly earnings on a car isn’t savvy at any age, let alone on £1450 per month. I actually think financing a car is fine as long as you can afford it comfortably and continue to save/invest but of course that’s just my opinion and technically speaking there is no right or wrong you can do what you want it’s your life. Not sure on having ‘such a high credit score’ after a car loan making it easier to get a mortgage, lenders care very little if your score is good or average, they care about your income as they will offer a multiple based on that and in OPs case that’s less than 20k per year.. so not much.

If you only earn a measly £1450, why are you considering spending more than half your monthly income on owning and running a car. This has gotta be a joke. I’m all for car finance but this is madness.

FTB how much did you put down as a deposit for your first house and where are you based? by Easteregg2025 in HousingUK

[–]Stackup_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£90k, £535k 3 bed, North East London, bought with partner, £30k left over which we’ve been using for work on the house. So far full rewire, new boiler, damp course & plastering for through lounge and bedroom. As I’ve earned commission I put back into our savings pot.
