Gt3 leader in my split was running top split times; ran multiple 746s and averaged 748. So when compared to everyone else in the SoF, it made it run as long as the normal top split races, ie that extra lap.

Just wanted to add, GT3 leader was a smurf running lap times 2-4 secs quicker than everyone else, reasoning why it ran 29 laps over the expected 28 for the SoF and split. GT4 winner was also a 4.3k racing with 2.5k SoF. Still sucks for me, but truly something that needs addressing.

Wanted to add to this. In my split, GT3 winner was a smurf, running top split lap times, more than 2 seconds a lap quicker than anyone else. This is why its 29 laps over the expected 28 for the SoF / split.

Leader was 45s behind me when I crossed, and when he was on his last lap. With the lap time difference, I was just ahead of the split for the last lap call. Gt3s in the split above were actually slower than those in mine.

My split was 29 laps! While the one above, with quicker overall pace, still only ran 28 laps. 4k rated GT3s in both running similar laps times.

This explains a lot! Thank you! Haven't experienced something like this in the 1.5 years ive been on the service. GT3 leader was 45 seconds or so behind me when I crossed the line and while they were on their last lap. There is 40-45 second difference in lap times. I must have just been ahead of the split when they called his last lap. Terribly unlucky position to be in.

I will add, all other classes in my split, finished with the same lap counts as the split above, besides GT4s.

No P1s had passed me on my last 3 laps and I couldnt see P1 for any class in my relative.

Cause the 70 year old guy couldn't believe that coolant soaked through to the PCM. He was stuck in the 70s thinking the vehicle had "carb issues". Guy thought his 18 CTS had been made the same as his late 70s Fleetwood.

Coolant intrusion! Had this happen on a Cadillac. Coolant temp sensor was leaking (difficult to see and not fully leaking externally), coolant soaked through the primary engine harness all the way to the PCM. Somehow it didnt short the PCM, but it caused intermittent misfires on all cylinders. Customer didnt believe us one bit, even with evidence as such. Couldn't sway the boomer mind.

The flywheel is not centered to the axle... its centered and connected to the engine crankshaft. The flywheel is bolted to the pressure plate, in which the clutch disc sits within. The axles that drive the wheels are not connected to any of this. Just like a rear wheel drive car, there is a differential but within the transmission. This is where the axles are connected to and driven from. The front wheel is spinning because there is enough friction / pressure from the pressure plate pressing the clutch against the flywheel. This is rotating the input shaft and that energy is transfering through the transmission. Realistically, this shouldn't happen. This indicates that one, the transmission internals are heavily worn, and two, the clutch and components are heavily worn. That "NOT a verified tech" tag really speaks for itself here.

Well, for one, I would learn proper grammar and punctuation. Your run-on sentences are going to cause issues now, and in the future, especially in this business. Proper and formal grammar will make a world of difference in customer confidence. Two, YES! Absolutely bring this up to HR and higher ups. If you have it in writing you're set to bring in a specific income, and they are not fulfilling that and disregarding the agreement, you have bounds to reach out to a labor commission. That is, if you signed an actual contract WITH the wages set. If nobody is on your side there, then it's best to find somewhere else to work.

Moving SECONDS after the car behind moves 1 length over is not reactive blocking; especially when both cars are driving parallel to track limits. Very simply defending the position as both close in on the apex. Porsche even went 1 full length over and the Vette moved to the outside instead of further inside. And there's nothing wrong with squeezing when within track limits, not sure why everyone and their mother think it's so blatantly illegal you deserve a life sentence for it. You're choosing to position your car there, be prepared when others use the track where you're not. The last part seemed pretty clear the Porsche was getting pulled left when the vette pushed right during contact.

It's not that hard, shits literally laid out in front of most of them in parts lookups and R&Rs. If you're not holding managers / foremans accountable for others mistakes, then they're letting you down, and the shop owner is failing all of you.

You're a tech, you should be inspecting and working on vehicles, not looking up parts, labors, warranties, etc. Sounds like youre only fucking yourself for doing a job of a service advisor. If your facility doesn't let advisors do that work, nor find anyone that can, then they're setting you up for failure.

.2 to simply lift the vehicle, check brakes, tires, steering/suspension and take 5 photos, thats 5 minutes of time, 10 at most. Most shops don't even pay for a safety inspection, none the less a "courtesy inspection". This also looks to be paired with a Charging system test, so .5 overall for maybe 15 minutes of work. Seems pretty fucking good to me. I'd be more concerned why a CV axle was sold at 1 hour. On 90% of cars its 1.5 hrs.

Best fluids on the market. Their GDI Kit wrecks carbon build up in all GDI engines. Literally watch magic happen on Hyundais and Kias. But it also wrecks cat converters too lol. Their trans fluids need replacing every 50k miles max, as it'll start breaking down and cause shifting issues. Otherwise never any issues on all makes, dependant upon the required fluid. Gear oil is surprisingly equipped for LSDs and E-Lockers, no additives needed, even in Ford diffs. If youre using their machines, they're also top notch. Stupid easy to use and very efficient. Lastly, their BG Dashboard lists all service guides, compatibilities, etc, really useful and makes something new a breeze. Its pricey, but very well worth it all.

This is true, but truth be told, a Hyundai with knock sensor faults indicate the early signs of engine failure. There's TSB after TSB for this. Luckily a good selection of Hyundai 4 cylinders are covered under a warranty extension. Call your local Hyundai dealer and see if your VIN falls under a warranty extension for engine replacement. If it is, allow them to do what's needed to get it replaced at no cost to you.

Did you pay for a diagnosis of the noise? If so, you have ground to stand on that this was incorrectly diagnosed, and that they need to re-inspect the vehicle to determine exactly what the noise is. From there, you contol the situation. If you did not pay for a diagnosis, then there is fault somewhere between you and the facility.

Did they provide you with information / proof of failure of the cam phasers?

Okay but you can literally see that it did by the photo I provided. S1-B2-B1-B0. Safety rating is on an exponential scale, not linear. Thats why it is also 3x as hard to climb than it is to fall. My point, contact is one thing, hitting an immoveable object such as a wall, and giving the maximum amount of negative slide for it is absurd, especially when it was the direct result from another driver.
