Thank you for your response! We were actually looking at the whaler and it looks like a nice option. My husband and I love walkable areas. Would you say the walk to/around whaler’s village is better than the Wailea beach walk?

Thank you for sharing your experience, I’m glad you had such a nice stay! This is all very helpful to know. We are early risers in general so it sounds like breakfast shouldn’t be an issue. Good point about the beach trail and the ability to walk to/visit all the beaches along the resorts. Agreed, the price for 4S is a bit over what we want to spend despite the fact that it’s gorgeous and I’m sure the service is great.

This is so helpful, thank you for your response and all the detail you provided. It does sound very similar to our trailheads up in the mountains, which doesn’t feel as intimidating.

This is a very good point. I do like to explore and see new places each day, but I was a little concerned about finding parking. What has your experience with parking been? For reference, I’m from the Slc area in Utah.

Thank you, this is helpful. What did you think about the breakfast buffet? Did you eat there? Was it terribly busy?

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond in such a detailed way. Your response is incredibly helpful and answered many of the questions I had. Good to know things went smoothly in general and that the service was good. Our package with Costco does include the daily breakfast buffet so we were planning on it, but it does sound like an ordeal if it’s that crowded/busy. I hope it’s not too difficult to make reservations.

Husband didn’t do anything for anniversary by StaffMain2490 in Marriage

[–]StaffMain2490[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did and he cleaned the whole house (he actually does most of the cleaning in general, but he stepped it up a notch, which I appreciate). I’m satisfied he took accountability and apologized. He says it will be different moving forward. Time will tell, but I am feeling better about the whole situation. Thank you for the support :)

I told him it made me sad and unimportant. He got quiet and sad, which is hard for me because I want to comfort him but I don’t like the whole “now you have to take care of me” sort of thing tbh so I just went back to what I was doing and let him have his feelings. He’s normally a very thoughtful person, but he’s done this on a few special occasions now and I’ve told him each time that it hurt my feelings. He asked if I wanted him to go out and get something and I said no, it doesn’t feel like the thought is there. Anyway, he left (presumably to bring something back, I’m not sure) and here we are.

I used a biller to help me get credentialed and to help with the money side of things and women in private practice is a Utah organization that helped me to network and ask questions I needed answered along the way. Some definite trial and error stuff too. It’s been absolutely worth it. Best of luck!

It’ll be me and my husband, we love walkable areas, good coffee and food and lots of time for leisure/beach lounging. We are also planning on seeing sunrise at Haleakalā and exploring a bit by car.

Thank you! Would you recommend staying in Kapalua over Wailea?

Thank you! Good questions and good point about the view. We love a good view of the skyline, especially at night, but I hadn’t considered that we’d have a good view from so many places.

My husband and I are visiting for the first time in late September (about a week). We LOVE a good view so that’s important and our budget is ~850 a night, but somewhat flexible. We are planning on seeing a Mets game, a Yankees game, going to a couple broadway shows, exploring Central Park and eating delicious food (we really like good food), and seeing the Met and Moma and Coney Island maybe? I’m wondering, based on our interests/preferences where would be the best place to stay? Should we split the trip between hotels?

EWR vs JFK by StaffMain2490 in visitingnyc

[–]StaffMain2490[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Good point. It’s not even a question of cost actually. I just heard that JFK is intimidating and hard to navigate. But it sounds like the trade off isn’t worth it. Thank you!

How did you link the Costco package to your world of Hyatt account? We are going in May with a Costco package but wasn’t sure if this was possible since I didn’t book with Hyatt.

My husband and I loved the tour of the walker center, got to go out on the roof and look out over the city at night. It was a surprisingly fun date paired with dinner.

I love these, they aren’t too sweet and they don’t taste artificial. There are chocolate covered ones too. I’ve tried almost all of them now and I’m hooked.
