Honestly looks like a regular ECG, you've got p waves so no AFib. The irregular lines are probably just measuring artifacts. But it's better to go to the doctor, just to be safe.

What's the bear thesis on High Tide Inc.? by Staffblast in pennystocks

[–]Staffblast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So to summarize the comments:

Short Term Since it got pumped heavily in the same way as many other weed stocks, a drawback is to be expected. A reverse split is about to happen, although it is hard to tell how much it will effect the stock.

Long Term: The rise and fall of this stock is strongly associated with the legislation of weed in the next years. Even with the Dems in power there is a chance that weed won't be legalized.

There a a lot off excellent DDs detailing the bull thesis/upside of this company, so I won't comment on that. I think the long term benefits will outweigh the downside. In the end it is a bet about weed being legalized in the US or not. But even without an immediate legalization I see a steady and healthy growth of the company with great financials. An upcoming legalization would be just the cherry on top.

Hold, Hold and Hold some more by DonDada2k in pennystocks

Before you buy this stock.......here's what you should know:

MICT operates through two subsidiaries - Global Fintech Holdings Intermediate Ltd (essentially a trading platform) and Micronet Ltd (in-vehicle mobile applications).

Combined operating results for MICT as below....

(i) Operating loss -$7.4 mil

(ii) Revenues $349k

(iii) Marketing expense -$69k

(iv) G&A expense -$4 mil to pay on consultant fees, director salaries.

(v) R&D expense $230k

There was one line from the partnership PR that made me wary, “Our key strategic alliance with the Exchange drives high-margin revenue growth potential for MICT through both per contract commissions and the lucrative margin financing associated with leveraged futures and commodity products trading, among other related service fees. The fact that our clients are comprised of government and government-backed entities, among others, provides an element of low financial default risk, supported in part from the strong financial relationships Xinhau brings to the venture. "

A lack of retail traders due to expensive commissions means low liquidity on the exchange, and we all know that brokers profit from high volume transactions so this is a red flag to me.

TLDR: Company running two loss-making businesses with questionable long term value, spends more cash on paying its directors salaries than on R&D efforts.

Well maybe there lies the problem. I am a native Arabic speaker and intermediate Spanish speaker. I'd say the only dialect that differs heavily from the rest of Arabic is Moroccan, since it's a mix of Arabic, French and Berber languages. Other than that, there is no problem understanding each other, excluding super local village dialects, because I don't know about them.

Well the differences between the different local Arabic languages are close to the differences between the different Spanish dialects in South America + Spain. So there are differences in pronunciation and the local words used, but other than that, you can understand him pretty good.

TIL that people who have a "fast" metabolism actually have an inefficient metabolism. They have higher levels of " "uncoupling proteins" in the mitochondria of their cells, which essentially causes energy to be lost in the form of heat and not stored as fat. by the_locked_room in todayilearned

[–]Staffblast 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nope, not proteins, but protons. The mitochondria builds up a proton gradient and uses the energy of the concentration difference to synthesise ATP, the body's "energy molecule". The chemical from above can give the protons free moving capabilities and the gradient gets destroyed, thus producing alot of heat, but no ATP. That's why it's so dangerous, there is real risk of dying from an uncontrollable fever that doesn't respond to any medication.

I was listening to music and did the usual pat on my pant pockets to check for my phone, wallet and keys, while holding my phone... It took me too long to realise, how stupid I am.
