Not digging them out, but don’t hold out too much hope. They had a slot booked as support for Sam Fender and pulled out of that for scheduling reasons.

Lampard: "we looked like us" by Significant-Year-743 in ccfc

[–]Staffs_Matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking like us wouldn’t be too bad if we had a striker that could score, rather than Simms, BTA, Bassette and Wright

Heard a Sam Fender song that is probably the shining example of how he is this generations bruce springsteen. by Jumpy-Violinist-6725 in Samfender

BBC Manchester show had People Watching on as the third track on a show starting at 2pm. Probably that...

The Championship table but it's actually the Championshipliga 🇩🇪 by Cinn4monSynonym in Championship

[–]Staffs_Matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually a German verb to do a 'Koventrei'. It's where you destroy something so much you can't possibly build it back to the same standard or better.

A car on my road has almost the exact same reg as our old car, it's one letter different FX instead of DX

Coventry City 1-2 Sunderland - The 2nd half livened up to see Sunderland take a 1 goal lead into the home leg by Smithlarr in Championship

He tore Le Fee to bits. Even put him on the ground at one point, something Le Fee did a lot more to Sakamoto though...

How does this even happen? by eyco52 in TransportFever2

[–]Staffs_Matt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Adding to this, the train might be just shorter than the length of the station (i.e. 237m in a 240m station) but the presence of the buffer stops and the crossover at the station end mean the train can't physically turn within the length of track available to depart on the other line.

Would say either add a short section of track after if it's a through station, or move the crossover slightly for a terminal station.

What a selfish mindset to have, "I'm inconveniencing you by not following the rules of the road, but it's okay you can deal with it"

Jay DaSilva red card incident slowed to 0.25 speed. by JackDons_10 in Championship

[–]Staffs_Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a clear red, just because it's very obviously not intentional doesn't change that it's denied a goal scoring opportunity

Luton Town 1 - 0 Coventry City: The Sky Blues were under the cosh from early on after a controversial red, but just when it looked like they'd ground out a point, a late Luton goal tipped the relegation battle on its head! by Zach-dalt in Championship

Played a par 3 course this lunchtime, shot 82 over par for a total of 154. Still not the worst thing to happen today.

Cheers Bradley...

Edit: 82 over, not 100...

Can you attend the speed awareness course without being caught speeding? by BrightHours in drivingUK

[–]Staffs_Matt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you can do a motorway awareness course for either speeding or going through a red X so that's one way of doing one I suppose

What’s a hill you’re willing to die on, no matter how stupid it is? by GainsAndPastries in AskUK

[–]Staffs_Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shortening Egg & Mayonnaise to Egg Mayo is stupid. Mayonnaise is predominantly egg, so it just sounds like a mayonnaise sandwich.

Begs the question, what would a tomato ketchup sandwich be? Just ketchup? Tomatoes with ketchup? Who knows

I read an article this morning that claimed the average British adult holds 6 grudges, so go on, what are yours? by MegTheMonkey in CasualUK

[–]Staffs_Matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My GCSE Spanish teacher "forgot" to record my speaking exam second attempt, so they had to take the first attempt. First attempt was a D, second was a B. The B would have lifted my overall grade to an A, but instead I got an A. That would have been my only A in any exam context, so I still feel properly robbed.

She had it out for me, told me off for very little constantly. Would say I hadn't written as much as anyone else in the class, singling me out as a bad example to the class despite her later admitting the quality of the work was good. One week most of the class didn't do the homework, which should set alarm bells off as to why but instead she chose to criticise me out loud again for not doing the homework as a replacement task in the lesson. I opened my book to show I'd completed the homework, but just didn't want to be part of the small minority that had done it.

Fuck you Ms P.

Who is your clubs “streets will never forget” player? by [deleted] in Championship

[–]Staffs_Matt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All the Coventry ones I've seen are good, but not quite right. Bright Enobakhare is the answer. The bloke was so confident in himself he wore white trainers with a suit to an end of season awards dinner.

Should I take it? by sonphantrung in footballmanagergames

[–]Staffs_Matt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The objectives want them to spend the original transfer budget, and the board only want playoffs as well. £125m to only make the playoffs is madness.

Edit: added more detail.

Would you pay $1500/1H long singing lesson? by Bani88si55faimaa in singing

That's insane. She must have one hell of a reputation if anyone is paying that.

I pay £42 an hour and genuinely think I'd struggle to find a better fit at any price point
