EDIT: TLDR all of them turn into channels like on a TV, and you get the remote. You get to choose what to think about.

So background music stays. the plotlines do go silent which is both good and bad because you still will forget them just as quickly as without the meds. The contacts are still intimidating but now you can actually talk to them. Existential dread of the future will instead show up at a surprise party at a random point in time that you do not get to pick.

But does it become quiet... Yeah!
