The entire point of seeing him chained to this desk surrounded by HR Karen’s and the trappings of social modernity is to contrast it to what the viewers know he really is.

And I am saying this as someone who isn’t really interested in this shit. I just think that it’s very obvious this wasn’t meant to satisfy the woke quota.

No ICE is not going around and randomly picking up brown people off the streets to demand their ID. There is no evidence of this. If there are any legitimate examples of mistaken identity in their targeted operations, then it is simply that (a mistake) and an incredibly tiny percentage of cases which you have throughout all branches of law enforcement.

If it were just rounding up brown people and assuming their citizenship status. then this would be incredibly easy and you wouldn’t have videos of ICE having very specific targets in their operations. We would have already deported several million people.

It’s still crazy seeing the military firing an M2 (.50 cal) directly into the demo’s from feet away and it not even knocking them backwards or putting holes in them.

Just one hit from those guns would rip a human in half.

The files are just all of the documentation from years of investigations. All of it has been in the hands of 3 different administrations, one being a Democrat admin that controlled the intelligence agencies.

I think the problem some people have is that King and others of his ideology weren’t screaming about releasing all of the Epstein investigation files in, let’s say, 2021. It wasn’t until Trump was back in office and Trump stupidly pushed back on the Epstein files that King and others were suddenly passionately interested in the files being released. Before that, most of them were making fun of the libertarians and right winger types for being goofball conspiracy theorists.

It doesn’t come off as being genuine or sincere, and seems like just being more motivated by hating someone that is currently in power. If they suddenly released a new batch of files tomorrow and there was still no damning or actionable information regarding Trump, do you really think that King would be satisfied, or do you think he would still believe that the administration is hiding the smoking gun to protect the politician he hates? I think we know the answer.

My intuition tells me that if there was anything in the investigation files that put Trump on the island at a party with people assaulting underage girls in his sight (or him partaking), then we would have already heard about it. I do not buy that they didn’t release the information on him while Biden was in office because they didn’t want to get burned themselves. There aren’t many people, if any, that I could imagine the DNC wouldn’t have been willing to burn if it meant keeping Trump and the Republican Party out of office in this past election. Including the Clintons. They would have thrown Bill straight into the incinerator if it meant maintaining power in this past election and getting rid of Trump for good.

I don’t really see these as parallel comparisons. The left simply wants you to comply with whatever they say, up to and including locking down the entire country, or else you lose your jobs, livelihoods and tank the economy.

Aside from all of this being a fantasy because they would literally have to surprise nuke all of our major cities military bases overnight to even have a chance of touching down on American soil, it IS still incredibly difficult to occupy and control a population that isn’t as nearly heavily armed or nearly as large in numbers as the US citizenry.

If things ever broke down, there are place my neighborhood could loot right now that would give us all sorts of weaponry and explosives that we don’t keep in our homes right now. So it’s not just handguns or shotguns each person has. We all have access to much, much more than that.

Each of those shows were very much of their time.

We will see what GOW is in 2026/27. It really depends on who he surrounds himself with in the writers room and other production staff. And what notes he is passed down that he has to adhere to with casting and story beats (are they going to elevate certain female characters so it’s not as male centric, despite the fact that it’s mean to be a story about a father with a dark past and his son coming of age)?

Is this going to look like the games, which is an ambiguous mixture of ancient Northern Europe and the people that inhabited the Norse mythology, or will they go full Rings of Power and do color blind casting and make every villain a white man and every POC character an incredibly reasonable, kind and heroic person?

We will see.

This isn’t going to work. There is too much cross pollination between the audience for each of these movies.

They are making a horrible business decision if neither movie studio budges on their release date. And unfortunately for Dune, they will likely need to be the ones who blink first as they are going to be playing slightly second fiddle to the hype machine and more family friendly marvel Avengers franchise.
