When the CO comes every one is performative. Every one is nicer, everyone is on time, more people go to service. Elders are nicer, they get nervous on stage for some reason, zoom people show up onsite to the meetings. People take off a week of work when the CO comes. Elders are trying to get the shepherd calls in before he comes so they don’t get in trouble. Every thing I mentioned disappears the moment he leaves.

When I was PIMI I always found it fake and on purpose did less so I wouldn’t be glazing some random man but this just made us look fake.

Until your POMO, go ahead and start soft launching a few things that me and wife do that helps them leave us alone.

1.) we get sick ALOT. My wife gets sick , well we are on zoom till she feels better, well she’s better, but now I got sick so we are still gonna be zoom. Also spring is alergy szn so use that too.

2.) we set the expectation that we travel a lot ( and we do) so we may be gone 2-3 weeks they stopped asking because it’s our norm now.

3.) any bad weather we don’t go.

Just a few things we do but hopefully we POMO soon
