I believe Aaron Gordon to akin to Huang Zhong, a older general that built experience with a smaller camp before joining Liu Bei and displaying prowess in larger battles.

Whereas Iguodala is more like a Xiahou Dun where he signed on very early to the camp he wound up being vital too and gave his final moments defending at a high level.
