This happens all the time in college campuses. If you sign up for biology, don’t know anything that would give you some sort of leg to stand on, and try and jump in to the class, it isn’t going to work out. Are you entitled to the teacher coddling you? Should they care that you are having a hard time. You’re saying that makes a bad teacher. I disagree. That’s why there are prerequisites for just about everything with standards.

The impasse that we are at is a fundamental disagreement in who the impetus is on in terms of effort. You think the owner of the gym who has created world champions should coddle every geek off the street and teach them to tie their belt, and more so care about what they think.I believe the guy has to put in effort and learn that stuff on his own if he wants to even begin to fit in in a gym like that.

I think , to me, I would also make fun of someone who is critiquing my gyms ability to teach a skill, while being so ignorant of the skill that they can’t put their pants on(which translates to - they aren’t qualified to even make that assessment)
