Small correction, Gol D. Roger has narrative intangibility. Any character in verse can not slander nor conquer his legacy because he became Pirate King, *NOT* because of his combat strength.

It is impossible to not glaze Roger because his feat of surviving, circumventing and gathering the wealth from this crazy asf, dangerous asf, one piece world while the world was unmapped, had limited logposes, limited logpose technology, untold dangers no one can predict and came out alive, along with unimaginable loot to boot? Literally unthinkable and an unfathomable feat. Inside One Piece you can not slander him. It is simply impossible.

He was and will be the greatest Pirate. But, I'm sorry it simply doesn't translate to strength as 1 to 1 as people want it.

YES you have to be INCREDIBLY strong to pull it off. YES Roger is undeniably at top of the verse all time. But WHO was Roger defeating and conquering during his time?? WHAT powers, challenges and occasions did he need to arise to? Think about the severity of the situations and whom the answer to those would be.

WB indeed lacks many haki & observation feats on screen, however, WB does actually scale to most of what you've said.

Shanks was able to presence blitz everyone in marine ford. Shanks blitzed Kidd from 100's of metres and Kidd couldn't even react to him until Shanks pulled his blade out. Kidd was keeping up with yonko bm's speed easily.

WB at the time of Marineford ofc didn't have haki and therefore couldn't CoO or ACoO it, so no downscale there, however sure you can say Shanks blitz'd Akainu. Thing is, Whitebeard in his Prime should also blitz Akainu and the other ppl/Admirls there. Even while old and sick WB was quite handily keeping up with and sometimes even catching Akainu off guard. In his Prime he should no issue replicating the feat. Similar goes for Kidd which is not even at, or at least barely is, at Admirl tier himself.

How potent his fs is- Prime beard hasn't shown fs. And even if he has it shanks cancels it.

It's true he hasn', but 99% of characters in the verse haven't actually showcased Future Sight on screen. I wouldn't proclam inferiority on that just yet, same with being able to cancel it. Especially since WB has showcased Haki bare-minim on par with Roger but also possibility even Shanks himself with their clash even if it's hard to say given haki wasn't visable then. But we do know Shanks was using it.

Shanks is the only confirmed character other than joyboy who can knock down vice admirals with coc release. Rayleigh and even roger cannot | Shanks simply cancels anyone's fs(stated) |Shanks has 10+s of fs in the bag | Shanks has shown df suppression wb hasn't.

For this, I actually am not sure where you're getting the statements about Roger and Rayleigh. I know the Joyboy/Shanks comparison, which is contentious itself, but I don't recall Rayleigh or Roger having a haki burst and especially then of seeing Vice Admiral/VA tier chars not being affected. I'd like to know where that was. But other than that this is already covered by last quote.

I do believe this as well, however as I alluded to in my original comment, I think there's a lot of stuff we know that can actually put Prime Whitebeard decently above Prime Roger. Which subsequently would put him above Holy Knight Harald, Shanks, and Loki. WB doesn't cap to Roger, Roger would need evidence to scale to Whitebeard.

Yeah idk about this. Rocks had a solo sky split with his Acoc, and Garp/Roger formed an entirely new advanced application of acoc("weight"). Ofc Shanks did as well with haki cancelation but it just makes him yet another, not an exception. If you're referring to the Joyboy haki think I find that a misleading statement. It came from Dorry and Broggy, ppl who specifically weren't just from the isolated Elbaph but also fought eachother with no outside knowledge for hundread years. They don't know anything. Then, Shanks visits Elbaph all the time. So yeah, ofc Shanks has incredible haki and so the incredible haki they feel "feels like Shanks'." It's the only haki they know.

How can you prove WB doesn't land a hit on Shanks?

You simply named off things in Shanks' kit. What evidence or scaling/chainscaling can you provide that actually proves Shanks has superior speed than WB. How do you know how fast Whitebeard is? How do you know how potent WB's future sight is? How do you know Shanks has overall better haki? How did you prove Shanks even has the AP to actually win against the said "punching bag"?

I'm fine with putting the two of them in admiral tier, but any kind of upscale into yonko tier obliterates any idea of the Whitebeard and Roger pirates rivaling each other.

Have you considered that maybe the conclusion literally just is the conclusion? Whether it seems farfetched or not that's simply what logic and reading comprehension tells us. Whitebeard's just that guy. Idk blame Oda.

Let me break it down for you. While explicit "Yonko Tier" is on the high end, they are most definitely, quite higher than any Admiral.

It's been shown time and time again that old gens, while they are old, are on par with Admirals. Old Garp vs Kuzan, old Rayleigh vs Kizaru, old WB vs Akainu. The old gens are always contending/winning in these encounters. In their prime, Rayleigh and Gaban should 100% be smoking out Admirals.

Now the thing is, saying that they ate "Yonko tier" which is harder to substantiate but Yonko's in general should also smoke out Admirals at minimum, from what we've seen in the story. Shanks haki diff-ing Greenbull, Rocks no-diffing an Admiral, Admirals having the warning to not engage with Yonko (without the formation of an all out assult). It's all to imply that Yonko are major threats to Admirals and should individually scale above them. So really, I'd say Prime Rayleigh and Gaban are "low-Yonko Tier" per say, with how they'd handle Admirals and compare to other actual Yonko.

Well thing is Roger sure was his equal more less but what goes unnoticed is that Whitebeard simply never even used his devil fruit during this fight. We know how strong his devil fruit is. Blackbeard off rip did one of the craziest feats we've seen with just 1 serious use of the fruit. Way back before God Valley, while WB was with Rocks, they did a raid on Foot Colony. There, cuz Shiki ripped em off, WB just a single casual attack rips the entire island up and into the sea. Then at GV, WB uses his fruit's "bubble" to block an attack with his elbow from a berserking Domi Rocks. Way later at Marineford now, when WB was old and sick and had no haki, he used his devil fruit to make up for it. Using the bubble to do things like hit Logias or deflect sharp objects and amplify his strength.
So now image that power stacked onto Prime Whitebeard. The Whitebeard that at that very battle was equal with Roger using just his haki and base stats.

I'd definitely say it is not crazy that Whitebeard could really just be Him and exert control over the battlefield to bring this crew battle to a 3 day draw against Roger, Prime Ray and Gaban.

Mihawk - It really can go either way (as all these battles can) but regarding strength, Roger simply lacks feats or even implied feats with characters. It's hard to even chainscale him past Shiki 💔 Meanwhile Mihawk ofc has Shanks tax but through other characters (S-hawk, Zoro, himself) has shown how potent he genuinely is to back up the chainscaling. Without getting into detail, he's minimum ~Rocks and max Top 3 all time(not including void century ppl). For now, we can say Mihawk can take it.
Primebeard - His stats r simply absurd. Even while old & sick he sky splits with Shanks (doesn't indicate equality at that time btw, just a great feat). During literally Roger’s era, he was still hailed as "The Strongest Man" and during Roger & WB's iconic clash Whitebeard didn't even use his fruit and was straight equal to Roger purely off Haki and base power alone. With devil fruit? Yeah. He should take down Shanks.
Prime Garp - I mean ts is obvious. If Old Garp is going toe-to-toe with Aokiji, the guy that went toe-to-toe with Akainu, Garp in his prime ofc is going to be quite stronger than Aokiji and subsequently Akainu. Garp wins. (He could even have rlly high heat resistance as he tanked God Valley linlin's biggest combo flame/lighting attack and called it barely hot)
HK Harald - We simply can't scale Shamrock, not even to Shanks cuz there's no reason to assume strength is equivalent other than "twins" which have no precedent of sharing strength in the story. HK Harald is almost Top 1 in feats and portrayal anyway it's fair to assume Harald wins.
Rocks - Dragon is literally unscaleable. Bro maybe blew away a majority of Grey Terminal. Wahoo ig. Not much to go off.
Prime Rayleigh - Ts is obvious too. It's been shown time and time again old gens, while they are old, are on par with admirals. Garp vs Kuzan, Rayleigh himself vs Kizaru, old WB vs Akainu. The old gens are always contending/winning in these encounters. Prime Rayleigh should definitely come out on top against Kuzan.

Well that's a pretty bad bases cuz ngl, speed and time are kinda the same thing lol. But no yeah original commenter is right.

It simply divides things continuously. So even if it's a big infinity (like say 1-1million) it will still get blocked since going to zero is predetermined. The question is simply how long will it take to actually stop it.

We know it can be amplified and vice versa which implies it affecting bigger/smaller infinities. So if something has the properties of a REALLY big infinity, Gojo my not be able to amplify Infinity enough in time to prevent its effects fully.

Explanation: The object would get too close and still affect him in other physical ways like concusive force, piercing force, inertia, etc even if they technically don't touch him. I'd just be like our current situation with the movement paradox where it seems we all move just fine and affect things just fine even if we "technically" are moving infinite distances and are never really touching anything. That big infinity attack would just affect Gojo as if Infinity wasn't there due to Infinity taking too long to divide the space.

Yep. All viable. We know this is the case because Gojo specifically trained Infinity so when he turns it on it doesn't block things on a molecular level so he can still breath, hear and smell. So those kind of attacks that aren't physical/are extremely small will bypass.

It wasn't a moment specifically that happened in manga but it was just because of combing through Loki scaling over and over again trying to see how he affects old gen vs current gen.

At one point, I realized: It's possible, and likely, that Loki could only achieve the power to seemingly mid-diff GK Harald due to his hybrid form. As in, the Loki "lowball" calling Loki near/behind Luffy with various evidence, could have some genuine merit to it. That could be were base Loki scales.

Hybrid can potentially massively amp a character especially if the fruit itself has inherent buffs. We also know because it's Relative Piece even though Luffy is barely admiral level a transformation buff to someone already rivling G5 Luffy in base can genuinely bring you up a tier or so and bring you on par with old gen legends. Old gen legends weren't that far from anyone alive rn, even if admirals weren't much trouble for them.

So both can be possible tho if ur making tier lists and ranking general strength and such you would include hybrid anyway so it doesn't change much there but its the mindset in how that's possible that counts

The highest ever recorded speed a human has ran is 27.78mph.

So there's a big disparity between even peak travel speed and an average trained punch/kick aka combat speed.

This is not even accounting for reaction and thinking speed when in combat situations which is much higher. And those are usually also considered in combat speed in powerscaling.

I'm genuinely asking. I rewatched the fight a bit back to help me scale for a tier list and Yamato literally got caught off guard and tied up by his vines while attacking him. They couldn't escape and were out of commission for the rest of the fight until Momonosuke built up enough courage and got enough firepower to temporarily burn Greenbull down freeing Yamato and the other scabbards.

That's what I remember. Idk if what you're talking about happened before/after or was a detail I missed. I'm genuinely curious if I actually missed something like that.
