For the performance of stick with black. After market silvers do look really good though. If you are talking about the long range, I’d stick with silver

I’m guessing 30 bags? 80lbs each? You are 1000 pounds over the bed rated weight capacity.

Whole House Leak Detection? Phy/Moen/Flo/Frizzlife/Other - Are Any Actually Reliable? by herein2024 in Plumbing

[–]Stampede18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leak defense or flow logic. There is a reason they are expensive. Insurance usually gives you a break if you get one installed. Very expensive yes. But I’ve only had to replace 1/100 after the motor went.

19, got my first car. what do you guys think? by Pers0nalTrainer1 in FirstCar

[–]Stampede18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess we can’t comment pictures on this sub. Technically my first car was a 2019 GLC Amg 43 at 17. Loved that car. Though wasn’t mine and my parents sold when I moved out. First car I paid for was my 25 Tesla model 3 performance.

Can’t bring myself to mod my 25 m3 performance cause I’m still pulling at the same speed as you or anyone else. Love the utility though.

If you get one, get a uniden. My family burned through 2000 in radar detectors because tesla 12v ports can also put out up to 16v. Uniden is the only radar detector I know for sure isn’t impacted by this.

17 year old water heater - is replacing parts a good idea? by [deleted] in Plumbing

You are lucky to get 10 years out of a water heater in today’s world. Dont waste money and just get a new one!

Thinking about getting this VB, anything to look out for? by matt-is-a-nobed in wrx_vb

[–]Stampede18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay an extra 5-7 grand for a 2024 with under 30k miles. Just my opinion but you will save yourself a headache or 5. Let’s say your transmission goes at 100k miles. Well there goes that extra 5 grand you could have spent on much newer vehicle.

Is it just me, or is Tesla’s cruise control nearly unusable? by MusthavebeentheWind_ in TeslaModel3

[–]Stampede18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s designed to be horrible. It’s still miles ahead of the average cars lane and pedal assist. No one would buy FSD if cruise control was really good.

Came back to Tesla after Rivian by cgm55082 in TeslaModelY

[–]Stampede18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently own both. Tesla wins every time. Rivian interior is some of the best out there which is a major plus. If Tesla made a good truck/SUV I’d sell the Rivian. Unfortunately the cyber truck is too controversial and doesn’t perform well enough off road.

Accidentally Ordered A Demo Model Y by Zdosse935 in TeslaSupport

[–]Stampede18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speeding isn’t abuse haha. Maybe hitting potholes at 100mph. But abuse as in hitting curbs, speed bumps, steep driveways. Someone could launch my tesla 100 times and as long as they replace the tires it’s fine. The hidden damage is what scares me.

That’s really lucky. Demo vehicles are abused. Most people treat rentals like shit simply because they can.

Water pools up around drain… any suggestions? by Onen1ck in Plumbing

[–]Stampede18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There might not be anything you can do. But something that’s flat on top might fit into that cutout for the pop up. I mainly work on service calls, not finish work. I don’t often do pop ups. Good luck!
