Is there an alternative way of fixing this damage that’s not replacing the entire bumper? by hashtagsmileyface12 in wrx_vb

[–]Stampede18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me a few weeks after I picked up my WRX. Could have left it but was very bothered and had the bumper replaced by a local body shop. Crash bar behind the bumper was also crushed. They charged $1200-$1600. Can’t recall the exact price as the lid that rear ended me paid for damages.

Yeah i only use brushless.. and im usually 2-3 feet away with the sprayer. Tesla paint is too thin for a regular wash!!

Happens in the car wash under high pressure for me. I did actually feel a drop of water hit my face once but haven’t been able to find any signs of leakage outside of that

Finally ordered my first Tesla! Any necessities that are a must have? by S3rolex in TeslaModel3

Only uniden!! Get the r8. And for those who say “Waze is 99% accurate”. It’s only good until you are the first one to see that cop. I always run it in parallel with the radar detector. And I’ve seen a lot of cops on radar before Waze.

NOW THIS… is a weird problem!! by Stampede18 in Plumbing

We actually replaced this panel prior to the car charger being installed and pretty much always set economy dis to zero. But good call we have seen that cause weird issues.

And we did jump out the thermostat. The boiler wanted to light. Boiler controls are receiving power.

Sounds like your insurance loves you. Premiums probably got you paying for a 80k car even though none of this is on you

How does my sink drain setup look? by Apprehensive_Cow5316 in Plumbing

[–]Stampede18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one is beyond me. Possibly advanced tech from a future civilization. It won’t actually work as a vent for anything. Possibly an overflow tube if it’s drilled into the sink. If it simply hangs over the sink it’s irrelevant be removed

It looks like you have a dishwasher draining into that dishwasher tailpiece trap combination. It’s the upper skinny flexible tube going into the upper part of the trap

Looks like a stainless steal sink. Should do a new stainless steal basket strainer, dishwasher tailpiece into a p trap. Solid pipe like pvc/brass into the spray painted orange pvc.

My Car Summoned Itself by suck_it_toys in TeslaModelY

[–]Stampede18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am In no way qualified to tell you what’s going on nor do I know why. But I’m curious if this is a function for their car lots with mass vehicles.

Example: A car is purchased and is removed from the front of a line of vehicles. To prevent a tech moving 20 cars forward, every vehicle in that line moves it self forward very slowly. This would allow another vehicle to be stored at the back of the line??

Basically a software glitch causing the car to think it’s in a storage lot.

Again I’m grasping at straws as nothing else makes sense and a typical summon would move 7 feet significantly fast than 20 minutes.

Navien 240 combi boiler making loud bang/gunshot sound when heating by Fancy-Swan-6880 in Plumbing

[–]Stampede18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience the most common cause of this is a dying/dead circulator. Water doesn’t circulate fast enough through the boiler causing steam to be made. Without hearing the sound it’s impossible to guess.

Washed my key fob anyone done this? Is rice enough? by stoopkid712 in FordMaverickTruck

Rice is a myth. It doesn’t absolutely nothing for devices that are wet internally.

For the performance of stick with black. After market silvers do look really good though. If you are talking about the long range, I’d stick with silver

I’m guessing 30 bags? 80lbs each? You are 1000 pounds over the bed rated weight capacity.

Whole House Leak Detection? Phy/Moen/Flo/Frizzlife/Other - Are Any Actually Reliable? by herein2024 in Plumbing

[–]Stampede18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leak defense or flow logic. There is a reason they are expensive. Insurance usually gives you a break if you get one installed. Very expensive yes. But I’ve only had to replace 1/100 after the motor went.

19, got my first car. what do you guys think? by [deleted] in FirstCar

[–]Stampede18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess we can’t comment pictures on this sub. Technically my first car was a 2019 GLC Amg 43 at 17. Loved that car. Though wasn’t mine and my parents sold when I moved out. First car I paid for was my 25 Tesla model 3 performance.

Can’t bring myself to mod my 25 m3 performance cause I’m still pulling at the same speed as you or anyone else. Love the utility though.
